This is a story that can be extremely triggering for those who love animals, so please advise before reading on… We own an aromatherapy company called “Sacred Scents Aromatherapy”, and we have created our own training course that teaches how to safely and effectively use plant medicine for mental, emotional, and physical healing. We were teaching the Level 1 course from our home, and one student drove up from a distance and planned to stay with us for one night between the two days of the course. We had a dog at the time, and didn’t realize until she arrived that she was allergic to dogs. We had over 100 plant essences and nut oils in the course to help her get through the weekend, so we addressed the allergy symptoms as they came up with aromatherapy, and were able to keep them under control during the course. During the night, we woke up with her a few times to apply essences to her allergy symptoms, and she was eventually able to sleep through the rest of the night. Read more>>

Many clients come to me suffering from anxiety — either sudden onset, or as a result of a lingering pattern they need to break. One particular client was in the middle of leaving a bad relationship, and was trying to overcome the anxiety caused by the relationship and resulting situations. During our work together, she was able to find her center again, and release the patterns that had kept her stuck in that relationship. Not only did she experience more calm and confidence, but she was able to be so centered, she could clearly articulate what she wanted and needed in court, and stay grounded in those needs and wants (she won). When we first started working together, her external world had become extremely chaotic (a snake had even shown up in her kitchen!). Afterward, she was confident, poised, and she and her ex became effective and healthy coparents — something that was the longest of long shots. Read more>>

I was in my last year of medical school – I had studied incessantly with a consistent schedule and weekends full of exam prep, group study sessions, early mornings and late nights at the library. I had passed all my exams up until this point until I came to my last exam of medical school – the practice exam my school required us to take prior to sitting for the national medical board exam. I took the exam, and failed it. I took it again, and failed it. I took it again, and failed it again. I took the exam 4 more times and failed it 4 more times. After failing the exam seven times, it was a shock to be dismissed from medical school. My heart was heavy, and my spirit was crushed. A week later, the COVID-19 pandemic shook the world, and the hopes of returning to any medical school were overshadowed by uncertainty and fear. I ended up applying to a handful of other medical schools, and each of them said I’d have to redo my 3rd and 4th year. Read more>>

One story that stands out from my career is Katie’s journey through the Restore Program. Katie came to me after years of struggling with PCOS, weight gain, intense cravings, and the heartbreak of infertility. She had tried everything—medications, diets, and endless hours of research—but nothing worked. The conflicting advice she found online left her overwhelmed, and she felt like she was failing at something she deeply wanted to succeed in. When we first met, Katie shared her exhaustion—waking up tired, crashing in the afternoon, and feeling too drained to exercise by evening. She wanted change, not just for herself, but for her family and future. She also recognized the need for accountability and support, saying, “I’ve lacked an accountability that I feel would benefit me.” Her words resonated deeply because so many women feel the same way—they want change but are stuck in cycles they can’t break alone.
