Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashleigh Rogers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashleigh, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
I manage my own social media because it allows me to stay authentic and true to my brand’s voice. While I have a small following and minimal engagement at the moment, I keep posting consistently with the hope of attracting future clients. Managing it myself also gives me complete creative control, which is essential as a graphic designer showcasing my work.
So far, the results have been a slow but steady growth in visibility, and I’ve learned that consistency is key, even when it feels like no one is watching. For other business owners considering whether to manage their own social media or outsource it, I’d recommend evaluating your goals, time, and resources. If you have the capacity, managing it yourself can help you build a genuine connection with your audience. But if time is an issue, hiring help might be worth the investment to stay consistent.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’ve been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. As a kid, it was my way of expressing myself, and as I got older, I dove deeper into it by exploring different styles and techniques. I started out illustrating images, but over time, I challenged myself to experiment with other creative approaches, which helped me grow as an artist. Art became more than just a hobby; it was my escape. Growing up, it was a way for me to process things I didn’t want to talk about and cope with what I was going through mentally. When I’m creating, especially when I’m completely immersed in a project, it feels like the rest of the world disappears, and I’m at peace.
Today, I use my creativity to provide graphic design services, including logo design, digital flyers, cartoon graphics, YouTube banners, and event banner designs. My focus is on creating designs that are visually striking, cohesive, and tailored to my clients’ needs. I work closely with each client to ensure their vision comes to life while solving problems like improving their branding, increasing their visibility, and helping them connect with their audience in a meaningful way.
What sets me apart is my dedication to constantly improving and learning. I’m not afraid to try new techniques or styles, and I put my all into every project, no matter the size. My clients can count on me to deliver work that not only meets their expectations but often exceeds them.
What I’m most proud of is the growth I’ve experienced both as an artist and as a person. I’ve invested so much of myself into this craft, and every time I see how my work helps a client’s brand shine, it reminds me why I started in the first place.
For anyone considering working with me, I want them to know that my art is deeply personal, but it’s also driven by a desire to help others succeed. My goal is always to create designs that resonate with their audience and leave a lasting impression.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to bring ideas to life and evoke emotions through my work. There’s something magical about taking a blank canvas or concept and turning it into something that resonates with others. I love seeing how my designs can help clients tell their story, build their brand, or connect with their audience in a meaningful way.
On a personal level, creating art gives me a sense of peace and purpose. It’s my outlet, my escape, and my way of expressing thoughts and feelings that words can’t always capture. Knowing that my work can inspire, uplift, or even just make someone pause and appreciate it—that’s what makes it all worthwhile.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
One thing non-creatives might struggle to understand about the creative journey is just how much heart, effort, and vulnerability goes into the process. Being an artist isn’t just about having a “talent” or producing something visually appealing—it’s about constantly pouring a piece of yourself into your work, even when it’s challenging.
Creativity is rarely a straight path. There are moments of doubt, blocks where nothing flows, and the pressure to balance originality with what an audience or client wants. People might see the finished product, but they don’t always see the countless hours of trial and error, the self-criticism, or the internal battles to push through.
Another aspect is the value of creative work. Because it’s often intangible until it’s finished, some may not understand why art or design costs what it does. But behind every project are years of practice, education, and the artist’s unique perspective—all of which hold immense value.
For anyone trying to understand a creative’s journey, I’d say this: creativity is deeply personal, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling. Supporting an artist means supporting the passion and dedication behind the work, not just the outcome. Recognizing that can make all the difference.
