We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ashley Seay. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ashley below.
Ashley, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Growing up we’ve all been taught to be careful, look both ways before crossing the street, always be cautious. We are rarely taught to take risks. So when I decided to become an Entrepreneur and business owner I had to learn how to take huge risks! At the time I was a mother of one and I was working a great 9-to-5 job and I was unsatisfied with my life. I decided to take one of the biggest risks in my life and that was to quit my day job and focus completely on my beauty business and being a full-time entrepreneur. It was one of the most nerve-racking and unsecured things I’ve ever done but I knew if I stayed where I was my family and my life would continue to suffer I didn’t have a full on plan figure it out I just had a goal and a vision in my hard work ethic and I had a family who believed in me and pushed me to my fullest potential. Because of that one day where I decided to change how I viewed life and how I was living, I am now in a position where I’m on my way to making six figures in my beauty business I’m able to mentor and train other beauty professionals and I have worked with thousands of clients all across the United States. Sometimes we don’t see the full staircase but we can still make the next step. To see big changes you have to take big risks and that’s exactly what I did and now I live life on my own terms and have created a life where I can enjoy what I do and truly make a difference.

Ashley, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a Licensed Master Aesthetician located in South Florida. I have been a practicing Aesthetician as well as a solo business owner for 4 1/2 years. I offer advanced holistic skin and body care services. I also work closely with energy work and metaphysical services. I have over 1500 hours of aesthetics training. I also offer mentoring and one on one training for advanced facial services for future or current beauty professionals. My services are tailored for corrective skin care and I specialize in acne and hyperpigmentation skin concerns. One thing I’m most proud of regarding my business is the ability to be able to impact so many lives, I have taught and trained over 30 beauty professionals within this past year. My business has been solely based around the ideas of excellent customer service and results driven treatments. I pride myself on offering each client a one of a kind experience and dedicated to making each client love the skin they are in.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Most effective strategy I have found to grow my clientele has really just been providing excellent customer service and really dedicating to providing result driven skin care and body treatments. With this means educating my client in the treatment room and online through social media because I want my clients to be able to take care of their skin at home because that’s where most of the results are going to come from so if I can educate my client on what they can do to better their skin and correct their skin concerns this will allow me to have a repetitive client as well as build a referral base.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience on social media by always putting out quality content and educating as much as I can on social media when it comes to skin care and beauty and health and wellness. So I would say for someone that’s just starting out on building their social media presence be confident in what you’re posting and just have fun, it does not have to be perfect, it is no right or wrong way it’s your way if you’re educating your client on social media and educating your followers and if you’re providing quality content you’re going to grow.
