Today we’d like to introduce you to Ujwal Sharma
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began at the age of 16, driven by a passion for digital marketing and a desire to explore the vast potential of the online world. In August 2019, I founded Uzi World Digital, which initially started as an Instagram page. I saw firsthand the incredible impact social media could have on a brand’s presence, and I wanted to help others harness that power. The early days were challenging, but we stayed persistent, learning from every opportunity.
A significant turning point for Uzi World Digital came in December 2020, when we won the India Digital Enabler Awards for the best use of social media, organized by Entrepreneur.com. This recognition helped us gain tremendous visibility and credibility. From there, we scaled quickly, expanding our services beyond social media to cover everything from web design and development to digital PR, SEO, online advertising, and branding.
Today, Uzi World Digital has catered to over 1000 clients across 15 countries, ranging from entrepreneurs to celebrities and top brands. I’m proud of how far we’ve come, but it’s just the beginning. My vision is to continue finding innovative ways to help businesses grow in the digital space and leave a lasting impact.
At the same time, I founded Empire Weekly, an international award-winning Internet news publishing company. This has allowed me to dive deeper into digital content and media, contributing to the broader conversations happening across the globe.
It’s been a challenging but incredibly rewarding journey, and I’m constantly motivated by the ever-evolving digital landscape. The key, I believe, is to stay adaptable, keep learning, and never lose sight of the goals you set out to achieve.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely been anything but smooth. As with any entrepreneurial journey, there were countless challenges along the way. Starting Uzi World Digital at 16 was both a blessing and a challenge. Being young meant I had fresh ideas and energy, but it also meant I had to work twice as hard to be taken seriously in the industry. Convincing businesses and clients to trust a teenager with their digital marketing strategies wasn’t easy. I had to prove my expertise through consistent results.
In the early days, resources were limited. Managing everything from client acquisition to execution required a lot of multitasking, and I was still learning about the intricacies of running a business. Scaling up also presented challenges, especially as we started offering more services like web development, SEO, and digital PR. I had to build a strong, capable team that shared my vision and could help me drive the company forward.
One of the biggest challenges came during the rapid growth phase, especially after winning the India Digital Enabler Award in 2020. The surge in demand meant we had to expand quickly, and with that came growing pains—managing larger projects, dealing with more clients from different parts of the world, and ensuring the quality of service remained high.
But with every challenge, there was a learning opportunity. We adjusted our strategies, improved our operations, and developed systems that could handle the scale. What kept me going through the tough times was my passion for the industry and my belief in the power of digital marketing to transform businesses. Overcoming these obstacles has made both me and Uzi World Digital stronger, and I’m grateful for the lessons learned along the way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in digital marketing and PR, with a focus on helping businesses and individuals grow their online presence and achieve tangible results. Over the years, I’ve gained expertise in areas like SEO, online advertising, branding, and reputation management. I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from entrepreneurs to celebrities, each with their own unique challenges and goals.
What sets me apart is my hands-on approach and my commitment to staying at the forefront of industry trends. I believe in the power of personalized strategies rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. This means really understanding each client’s vision and using data-driven insights to deliver the best possible outcomes.
I’m particularly proud of the impact I’ve been able to create in such a short period of time. Starting young, I had to overcome a lot of hurdles to prove myself in the industry, and the recognition I’ve received, like the India 500 CEO Award and the Indian Achievers’ Award, has been incredibly rewarding. But more than the accolades, what matters to me is the trust I’ve built with clients and the results I’ve helped them achieve.
What differentiates me is my passion for constant innovation. The digital world changes fast, and I thrive on finding new ways to stay ahead and help others succeed. Whether it’s navigating shifts in social media algorithms or exploring the latest trends in digital PR, I’m always looking for ways to push the envelope and deliver real value.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is when I first discovered my passion for technology and creativity. I was around 12 years old and spent countless hours tinkering with computers, exploring various software, and experimenting with graphic design. I remember creating my first simple blog with blogger.com, filled with colorful images and text about my interests. It was such an exhilarating experience to see something I created come to life on the screen.
That sense of accomplishment sparked my curiosity and laid the foundation for my journey into digital marketing. I can still recall the excitement I felt when I realized how powerful the internet could be for sharing ideas and connecting with people. Those early days of exploration and creativity really shaped my future and fueled my desire to learn more about the digital landscape. It was the beginning of a passion that would eventually lead me to where I am today.
