Today we’d like to introduce you to Dreaprende
Hi Dreaprende, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a toxic household and was constantly surrounded by negative energies. For me music was an outlet to express myself and find connections with like-minded people. I’ve always been into dance and music; another big reason I continue to pave this way for my peers & myself is because I don’t feel like there’s enough Mexican-American representation in the industry and I wanna be that.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road only because it is hard for people to genuinely support your craft. You have to keep paving that way and reminding people that you’re consistent with your work and that’s what I’m building every single day of my life because I won’t stop till everybody knows who DREAPRENDE is. I can’t wait for that moment to be like “wow” I finally made it closer to my goals on my bucket list.

I’m Dreaprende. I create music to help motivate others in a world Full of negativity. One of my proudest moments is being able to create a clothing brand that is called CatrinaSmoke. I feel like it sets me apart from others because I actually have a love for street wear and eventually want to crossover into both industries representing Mexican-American cultures.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I feel like a lot of people forgot about themselves during COVID-19 and I feel that this was definitely a movement to show people do not give up on yourself. Keep getting up every day and keep that hustle moving because no one is gonna be proud of you until you keep showing out, who you are. It was definitely very critical for a lot of people but for me personally I feel like I found myself and my music sound during these hard times.
