We recently connected with Taylor Stolt and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, thanks for joining us today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
One story that stands out from my career is Katie’s journey through the Restore Program. Katie came to me after years of struggling with PCOS, weight gain, intense cravings, and the heartbreak of infertility. She had tried everything—medications, diets, and endless hours of research—but nothing worked. The conflicting advice she found online left her overwhelmed, and she felt like she was failing at something she deeply wanted to succeed in.
When we first met, Katie shared her exhaustion—waking up tired, crashing in the afternoon, and feeling too drained to exercise by evening. She wanted change, not just for herself, but for her family and future. She also recognized the need for accountability and support, saying, “I’ve lacked an accountability that I feel would benefit me.” Her words resonated deeply because so many women feel the same way—they want change but are stuck in cycles they can’t break alone.
Through the Restore Program, Katie didn’t just learn about food or exercise. She discovered how to address the root causes of her symptoms: inflammation, blood sugar imbalances, and even hydration patterns that weren’t serving her. She embraced a mindset shift that helped her trust her body and learn how to work with it instead of against it. The results were incredible.
In just five weeks, Katie lost 11 pounds—and the weight continued to come off. Her cravings disappeared, she felt energized throughout her day, and, most importantly, she started to trust herself and her choices. As she said, “Now I feel like, ‘OK, I got this.’”
But the most heartwarming part of Katie’s journey? She was able to conceive and carry a healthy baby girl to term. She told me, “Having the foundation prior to getting pregnant helped me tremendously during my pregnancy.” Her transformation wasn’t just about the physical—it was about empowering her for the life she envisioned. Seeing her thrive as a mom today is a joy beyond words.
Katie’s story reminds me why I do this work. It’s not just about weight loss or symptom management—it’s about helping women reclaim their health, confidence, and futures. So many women feel they have to endure their struggles in silence, putting everyone else’s needs before their own. Katie’s story is proof that real change is possible when you invest in yourself and take that first step.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a Registered Dietitian, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, and women’s health expert. My passion for helping women reclaim their health stems from my own struggles with hormone imbalances and digestive issues. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to feel stuck and unheard, which is why I’m dedicated to empowering women with the tools and knowledge they need to heal and thrive.
At Plate and Canvas, I work with women who are dealing with things like PCOS, fatigue, cravings, weight gain, and fertility challenges. I help them create realistic, sustainable changes that actually work. Through my online program (https://plateandcanvas.com/restore-hormone-balance-online-program), personalized consultations (https://plateandcanvas.com/1-on-1-consultations), and resources (https://plateandcanvas.com/cycle-syncing-guide), I make it easy to cut through all the conflicting health advice out there and focus on what’s right for your body.
What really sets my approach apart is that I’ve been in my clients’ shoes. I understand how overwhelming it can be to feel like you’re doing everything “right” but still not getting results. That’s why I focus on strategies that are practical, flexible, and tailored to real life—not some impossible, one-size-fits-all plan.
What I’m most proud of is seeing women finally take control of their health and realize how much better they can feel. Whether it’s finally having the energy to get through the day, feeling confident in their body again, or finding balance with their hormones after years of frustration, those transformations are what make this work so rewarding.
I want women to know that you don’t have to settle for feeling “off” or out of control. Real, lasting change is possible when you understand what your body needs and give it the right support.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Other than training and knowledge, I think the most important thing for succeeding in this field is empathy and the ability to truly listen. So many of the women I work with feel dismissed or unheard in their health journeys. Taking the time to understand their struggles, meet them where they are, and make them feel supported is key.
It’s also essential to be adaptable and realistic. Every woman’s life is different, and cookie-cutter solutions don’t work. Success in this field comes from creating practical, sustainable strategies that fit into real-life schedules, preferences, and challenges—not expecting perfection.
Lastly, curiosity and a willingness to keep learning are huge. Health and nutrition are constantly evolving, and staying open to new research and perspectives ensures that I can always provide the best possible support to my clients.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
he most effective strategy for growing my clientele has always been taking exceptional care of the women I work with. When you genuinely invest in your clients’ success and well-being, the results speak for themselves—and people naturally want to share their experiences.
I focus on building real relationships with my clients, listening to their unique struggles, and creating solutions that truly work for them. It’s about more than just providing a service—it’s about empowering them to feel confident, energetic, and in control of their health. When clients feel supported and start to see real, lasting changes, they’re excited to share their stories, whether it’s with friends, family, or online reviews.
Word of mouth has been such a powerful driver for growth because it comes from a place of trust and authenticity. Happy clients become ambassadors for the work I do, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the ripple effect of one woman’s transformation inspiring others to take that first step toward their own health journey. Taking care of my clients with intention and integrity is at the heart of everything I do, and it’s been the foundation of my growth.
