Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jeffrey Chavez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jeffrey, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
I recently produced an EP called ‘The Taster’ for West Coast hip hop artist Champagne Aramis. He has a fly, luxury aesthetic to his image, but he moves with the drive of a hustler. When he first came to me, he was looking for a sense of musical direction that could help him carve out his own lane. He didn’t have a huge network in the music industry behind the scenes, so he was really looking for someone who understood his vision and could build on it.
We took our time exploring his influences and attitude, focusing on creating beats that truly matched his style. He was already performing weekly and getting solid feedback, but after we finished his new music tape, he started noticing a shift. Audiences picked up on the quality, and there was this fresh energy in the air. They could tell he was leveling up. That boost also grew his confidence, and now he’s headlining his own show “Heard it Through the Grapevine” in Anaheim this December. It’s exactly the kind of thing he’d been working toward for a long time, and to see it unfolding has been huge for him.
To me, that’s what this work is all about. Playing the keys and making beats is fun, but helping someone reach their goals and share their story through music? That’s what really matters.

Jeffrey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a producer and audio engineer who’s all about working primarily with independent artists, whether they’re just starting out or building on a foundation they’ve already created. I started out DJing and making beats, but over time I realized that my passion wasn’t just in the music itself—it was in helping other artists find their sound and bring their visions to life.
I work with artists who are looking for more than just a beat—they want a unique sound that reflects who they are and where they’re going. My sessions are designed to be collaborative and personal. I take the time to understand each artist’s influences, style, and overall vibe, so that together, we create tracks that feel authentic and impactful. For artists who might be performing live, having this level of authenticity in their music can make a real difference in how fans respond and engage.
What sets me apart is the relationship I build with each client. I’m not just handing over a beat and moving on. I’m there to support them, giving advice, guidance, and even a boost of confidence where needed. I think that’s one reason my clients end up with tracks that resonate so strongly with their audience—it’s because we’re creating something real.
What I’m most proud of is seeing these artists go further with their careers, whether that’s headlining their own shows, connecting more deeply with their fans, or simply knowing that they have a sound that’s uniquely theirs. My main goal with my brand is to help artists achieve that level of growth and pride in their work.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Yes, a few years ago, I worked with a team Artist Collective run by an amazing entrepreneur Evan Price. At the time, their focus was helping music creatives turn their skills into successful businesses. Working with Artist Collective really shifted my perspective on what it means to be an entrepreneur in the music industry. They helped me see beyond the day-to-day hustle, getting me clear on what I actually wanted to achieve. This clarity allowed me to let go of some false beliefs I’d been holding on to—like thinking I needed to handle everything myself or chase every opportunity that came my way. Instead, I learned to focus on the activities that genuinely move the needle for my business and my clients.
Having this understanding changed everything. I could put my energy into the work that truly mattered, and in turn, the process became more fulfilling. Now, each project feels like I’m building something meaningful, and I’m not just creating music but moving closer to my larger goals with every step. Artist Collective didn’t just help me think like a business owner; they gave me the tools to enjoy the journey as much as the destination.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is really driven by a desire to elevate artists and help them tell their stories authentically. I believe music has the power to communicate things words alone can’t, and my goal is to give artists a sound that feels true to who they are. I want to be a part of their journey and help them create something they’re proud of—something that resonates with their audience and pushes them closer to their dreams.
At the end of the day, it’s more than just creating beats; it’s about building connections, boosting confidence, and watching artists realize their full potential. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than seeing the spark in a client when they hear a track that captures their vision. Knowing that I played a role in their journey and helped move them forward—that’s what fuels me and keeps me pushing creatively.
