We were lucky to catch up with Adriel Faith recently and have shared our conversation below.
Adriel, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Well in all honesty, all of my projects have some kind of meaning and message behind it. Sometimes people seem to misinterpret the words I’m saying. But if I had to choose one project that’s been the most meaningful it would have to be my latest release entitled Lovesick. That project really digs deep into my personal testimony of me having flaws as a Christian. I know there’s still that mindset that people have where they think a Christian should be perfect. And that’s exactly the opposite of what Lovesick is. Lovesick is a testimony of a Christian with flaws. I took many risks in that project. And received a lot of backlash for it. But I regret nothing. There was things that needed to be addressed and things I needed to let go. God made a way for that project to happen and that’s all that matters.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well my given name is Adriel Ramirez. I started off with my initials “A.R” as my stage name. But that didn’t last very long for reasons being that I didn’t feel that my initials represented who I was and there were too many artists with that same name already. So a year later I switched my name to what it currently is now which is “AdrielFaith”. With Adriel being my given legal name and faith in Jesus being what I thrive on. I was born with many defects as a baby. With many heart conditions that the doctors told my mother I wouldn’t make it. But my mom was a woman of faith and that faith and her prayers are the reason I’m alive today. As a child I always had a drive for music. Drums were my first instrument so I’ve always had that sense of rhythm in me. I started playing at churches by the age of 12 alongside my father who was the praise and worship leader. I didn’t take music seriously until the age of 17 when I really started producing beats and writing songs. By the age of 18 and my last year in high school I released my first EP entitled “Who I Am”. By the age of 19 I started my own label called “True Music Records”. I met many good people along the way that helped me out including KYOTO’S NIGHTMARE, Jeremias Rivera, VideOG, and many more. Now I run my label with my team and we’re working hard to bring something new to the industry.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Personally in my opinion, I think the best reward is knowing that you can make a difference in this society. Whether you do music, or write books, or make art. There will always be someone out there that will be inspired by you and something you created. And that in itself I think is an amazing reward.
: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My only goal, mission, and purpose is to be the light and hope to people who may feel like they don’t have any light or hope. It’s a cold and difficult world out there and many of us are broken. I wanna give that sense of hope back. That’s all I really want.
