Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryce North
Hi Bryce, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into entrepreneurship wasn’t exactly traditional. I started by experimenting with different ventures, learning as I went. But one thing that stood out from the start was how well I could leverage the media to build my brands. I got really good at getting featured in key outlets—so much so that I grew my companies using media coverage as the core of my marketing strategy. One of my biggest milestones was being featured on Canada’s Dragons’ Den, which gave me a massive credibility boost and opened doors to countless opportunities.
From there, I started doing speaking gigs around the world, talking about how to build and scale businesses through PR. I didn’t stop with just my own ventures—I stepped into Venture and Angel Capital, helping other brands raise money and scale. But through this process, I noticed something: a lot of people, especially startups, struggled with gaining visibility. It wasn’t just about having a great product or service; they needed an online presence and to get featured in the media.
That’s when I realized that my strength lay in storytelling and getting brands the exposure they needed. I naturally gravitated towards PR and found I had a talent for it. Before I knew it, I became one of the go-to people in the industry for telling powerful stories and getting brands featured in top-tier media outlets. Now, as the founder of Don’t Be A Little Pitch, I help companies break through the noise, secure media placements, and build the kind of visibility that drives real growth.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve had plenty of failed startups along the way, and each one taught me valuable lessons. Early on, I faced a lot of trial and error, especially when it came to figuring out what people resonate with in terms of storytelling. Not every pitch worked, and not every idea landed the way I envisioned.
I’ve been booed off stage, laughed at, and outright rejected more times than I can count. But every time, it pushed me to refine my approach. I realized the key wasn’t just having a great product—it was about engaging people in the right way, telling stories that connect, and knowing your audience. Finding the best way to do that wasn’t always easy, and it took years of honing my craft.
Those tough moments—whether it was a bad pitch, a failed venture, or a speaking gig that didn’t go as planned—helped shape the way I engage today. They taught me how to captivate an audience, find what truly clicks with people, and most importantly, how to persevere through the noise and negativity to keep pushing forward.
