Today we’d like to introduce you to Vonetta Grant
Hi Vonetta, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story is still be written and being lived in, and sometimes I don’t even know where to start when explaining how I got to where I’m at currently in life. A lot of pain had to be transmuted into creativity and power to be at the mental levels I’m on. I’m born and raised here in this city of Las Vegas. Fresh out of high school I always knew I wanted to be a model. When I was a kid I loved loved loved having my photos taken & I didn’t know now it would be written in the stars for me. I was such a bright kid, always having fun & having spontaneous dance battles for fun with other kids. I was always creative as a child, from painting , poetry, wanting to be a fashion designer, & singing which always plays a part now in my career because I’ll still do those things but I have to always feel inspired or be back led to these hidden talents because of the world trying to dim my light. I’ve always shined in everything I do and now a days I’m no longer hiding it. I have not worked a 9to 5 in two years, the job I was working at was giving me targeted harassment and one day I just woke up and quit. Which made me have no choice but to go hard and develop my talents. I’ve exceeded my own unthought about expectations always surprising myself with what I’m able to bring to life. Beauty , love and passion go into everything I do. Drive and ambition through my life struggles has made me so grateful and abundant because loosing everything after quitting your job with nothing to fall back on is not for the weak. You have to have strength, faith, and perseverance to keep going everyday. I ended up loosing my first apartment, my car.. you know materials that can be replaced but I didn’t loose my sanity in the process. Over this last year my success is truly un It to deniable . I can only give it to God for making it happen for me. I have a true testimony.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This absolutely wasn’t an easy road.
From unlearning & relearning.
Reparenting yourself.
Healing inner child traumas.
It was just always something left and right…
People trying to destroy your reputation along the way. Constant smear campaigns,
Targeted harassment & constant bullying from peoples unhealed emotions projecting on you all the time.
Things that are capable of mentally destroying you. While I’m already hurting in the process of loosing everything around me. Literally loosing the one reality I’ve ever known … only to realize we really are creators of our own paths & seeing that everything happened for a reason
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Originally I was a freelance model, then I started modeling for Playboy & modeling Fashion. I feel like now I specialize in production and creative directing. Behind the scenes these days. I love to style & design outfits for my own character. Her name is Voxx & she’s literally all of the rage I’ve held within. I’m most proud of my VOXXIVERSE , which is like my Voxx character like Spider-Man’s multiverse which is Voxx recreating all of her favorite childhood movies so like the matrix version is the only one I’ve released so far, but I do have a Scarface and other movie references coming soon. I’m also most proud of myself for simply not giving up. I personally feel like I’m most known for my kind gentle sweet energy & heart that I’m still able to embody no matter what I endure.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
My most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is to move in silence and have a plan. Know what you want in life and execute and learn what you need to do to make things happen for yourself. Never stop learning something new.
