Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Cantres
Hi Michael, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Michael Cantres, and I’m a local artist/spoken word poet, a blogger, and a comic book artist! I’m currently working on an eBook, which will be done by the end of 2024! I got to where I am today with perseverance, and prayer alone! I know it sounds cliche, however prayer helps, as God will always spin the block for his universe! To get personal – I went through a Somatic healing, without seeking a shaman to assist me, however I did seek a shaman for a different reason, and now that God came down to speak to me, I don’t need any other assistance, other than The Lord!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the challenges that I’ve faced was battling the impolite aspects of my brain, which God don’t acknowledge half the time! I was hopping from couch to couch, as I was frequently in the mental institution! Once God has spoken to me, everything became better, as I say it like this! You’re in Church the moment you wake up, as you praise The Lord, or your higher power for being blessed to see another day!

I’m a local artist, that’s Heard Worldwide, due to promo, and my Rap moniker is Rogue Spiritual, and the genre that I’m in is Hip Hop! If I’m not rapping, then I’m doing blogs on my YouTube, or Instagram, in order to reach the masses of my community, which is the Black, and LGBT, where we put certain conversations to rest! My specialty is more of awareness, while God handles the healing, for I will always say this, even after my death! Poverty was never the issue, for the number one issue that The Black, and LGBT always had to deal with was emotional adressment, in order to press forward, and receive more blessings! The work that I’m most proud of is everything that I’ve been doing up to this point, as I’m living out my dreams, while leading a simple life at the same time! “Labels”, and whatnot has Inboxed me, offering “opportunities”, and I turned it down, given the fact that I’d rather lead the simple life that I’m currently leading right now, as God told me that I’m best where I’m at, because “fame, and fortune” eventually gets overrated! What sets me apart from others is that I’m one of many in God’s Universe that directs All that Hip Hoppery to the greater good, and fight for my community with prayer, and actions that follow suit!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The credit goes to God, my family, and my tribe, as well as my grandmother that passed away last year during Pride Season, as I know that she’s watching over me, and the fact that she ascended to her Godliness!
