Today we’d like to introduce you to Ivy Caldwell

Ivy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

It has always been a desire of mine to write children’s books. While in prayer one morning the Holy Spirit said to me, “You can’t skip over your story.” I had to sit there for a few minutes to think about what is my story. Then the Holy Spirit said, “Your story will authenticate the children’s book series that is yet to come forth”. I told the Lord yes that I would tell me story. This is where it all began back in 2021 I began putting pen to paper and writing my story. The unthinkable happened to me on my ninth birthday. I was molested and over several years I struggled with low self-esteem, bullying, hating who I was, not liking my name and I was that quiet kid who always seemed to get picked on.

April 2021 I published my memoir, “Expose It!…Let Your Healing Process Begin. I share my struggles growing up as a child and how I overcome it. In February of 2021 I launched my coaching program “Stepping Into ANEW You” in which I served women from the background of domestic abuse, molestation and low self-esteem. It was a great experience for me as I empowered the women I could see the shackles be loosed within them and in their minds. They actually began to glow. The highlight for me was when one of the women said, “This course literally saved my life. I was getting ready to commit suicide.” So you see I am on a mission to help as many women and youth as I can because I know there are many silently struggling with the same thing I have overcome. I want them to know that it is possible to not feel the pains of the past and walk in freedom.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

After I published my book I began looking for publishers for my children’s book series. In July of 2022, I found a publisher to help me with this endeavor. In the beginning, things were going great, we had constant contact and all payments were made on my part. Towards the end of the project, I wanted changes to be done and the publisher went MIA. I couldn’t believe it but that didn’t stop me. I know I must get my children’s book series into the hands of our children. I found an illustrator and I self-published the books myself. You have to be careful when you are looking for someone to partner with to help you get your product and services to the world. The highlight of this experience is that I have full control of the books and I have learned how to publish books. As of today I have ten children’s books published and there are more to come.

No longer sit in mute agreement with fear, hurt, anguish, and humiliation. It’s time to look the elephant in the room directly in the eyes and Expose It! Her timely assignment for such a time as this is to serve those with her passion for the hurting and she is determined to carry out her mission of delivering hope and healing to the wounded. Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?

Seeing other women empowered and free from the stings of the past makes me happy. It feels good to show others how to get their voice, confidence and authority back.
