Sara , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with Queens Who Empower Queens in 2022 when I represented Georgia in Ms. USA Prime at Nationals in Florida. Queens Who Empower Queens came from women form all diverse backgrounds that has a story, some are scared to tell their story and with that come more trauma. We are helping young girls and women to share their story, to stand in their truth, and to reach their full potential ! Our model is She too has been through it, you too can get through it!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Sara Williams was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Sara has a heart for service, dedicated 15 years to the nursing field before discovering her true passion: helping others through community empowerment. Relocating to Georgia, 11 years ago due to feeling as if she had no support system. Sara continued her mission to uplift and support those around her, which led her to proudly represent the state of Georgia as Ms. Georgia in the Ms. USA Prime pageant. In 2022, she took a bold step toward transforming lives, and provide other women with support , by founding Queens Who Empower Queens, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing resources, mentorship, workshops, and empowerment programs for women and young girls from diverse backgrounds. Through her work, Sara continues to inspire others to recognize and embrace their potential. I am most proud of meeting these young girls and women and being able to support these women. I am also proud of watching and being apart of the journey to transform these women and young girls lives.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn a lot being an African American attending public schools. I had to unlearn the system it taught us of enslavement. I have learn and is still learning how to create generational wealth for my family. Learning about business, building business credit, branding, marketing and promoting has been a lot. I also learned that it takes a team and had to unlearn that I can’t do everything by myself.

How’d you meet your business partner?
I met my co founder through prayer, when I say the tongue is very powerful it is. In 2020 while going through covid 19 and being on lockdown I was working my own home care agency but as my client kept getting covid shots business was slowing down I ask God for an extra source of income and a mentor that can help build my business with me. My prayers were answer with 5 minutes. She( Tyara Lee) called on Facebook and I heard a voice that said answer.Since meeting my business partner/ mentor 4 years ago I have elevated in a lot more skill sets of properly structuring my brand as well as teaching her.
