Mars, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I’m a healer and my dream is to heal people and connect as well as create community.
Mars, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am Mars the Star Child. I am a dream. I am magic. I am a pop star. Long ago I was created to become a healing force and given the tools of art and music. I have traveled through many different places to learn about their people, understand their struggles, and see what connects us. I dream of uniting everyone under music. My music is a safe place for everyone. I’m not exclusive to one kind of person. I’m simply not one kind of person, I’m an ever evolving experience. Soon I will be touring the world and singing people my songs and showing people that it’s okay to shed what the world wants us to be and embrace who we need to be.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I use to live in a three room shack with no running water in the middle of the woods, work three jobs, 90 hours a week with one goal in mind moving to NYC. Now that’s exactly what I did. I’m here bringing that same work ethic to make my visions into reality.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Honesty. I am honest about who I am. My work is the direct fabrication of myself streamlined through my head. Many people may say it’s fake being glamorous, or fashion, or to play characters. For me I’m being the most honest I can. I have a hard time physically speaking or even writing. With my work I can directly communicate everything the little ghost that lives in my brain needs to say.
