My journey began with a deep-rooted connection to my heritage as a first-generation American with Lebanese roots. At 17, I left the States to immerse myself in Lebanon, planning a short trip that turned into over a decade of living, learning, and growing. This experience not only shaped my cultural identity but also instilled in me a strong sense of resilience and adaptability.

After completing my studies in Lebanon, I returned to the U.S. with a vision to blend my cultural insights and creative passions. I founded Saniia, a creative marketing agency, driven by the desire to craft compelling stories that resonate and connect. Building Saniia from the ground up wasn’t easy; it required navigating numerous challenges and constantly evolving. However, the support of my family and the lessons learned from the vibrant creative community in Beirut were invaluable.

Today, Saniia stands as a testament to the power of creativity and perseverance. Our team collaborates with diverse clients, bringing their visions to life through innovative and impactful marketing strategies. My journey, marked by a blend of cultural exploration and professional determination, continues to shape my approach to business and life, with each challenge and success adding to our story.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

It hasn’t always been a smooth road. The journey to building Saniia and establishing myself professionally has been filled with its fair share of challenges. One of the biggest struggles was starting a business from scratch in a competitive industry. There were countless late nights and moments of doubt, especially in the early days when resources were limited and the path forward wasn’t always clear.

Navigating cultural differences also posed unique challenges. Having spent significant time in Lebanon, I had to adapt my understanding and approach when transitioning back to the U.S. market. Balancing these diverse perspectives required a lot of learning and flexibility.

Additionally, securing clients and building a reputation in the creative marketing world took time and perseverance. There were setbacks and rejections, but each one was a lesson in resilience and a stepping stone towards improvement.

Through all these struggles, the support of my family, especially my parents, who believed in me and my vision, was invaluable. Their encouragement and the lessons I learned from the resilient creative community in Beirut helped me push through tough times and stay focused on my goals. These experiences have made me more adaptable, resourceful, and determined to succeed.

Their insights and support helped me navigate the complexities of starting and growing Saniia.

On the other hand, there were instances of bad luck that tested my resilience and adaptability. Challenges such as unexpected market shifts or projects that didn’t go as planned required quick thinking and perseverance. These moments, while difficult, taught me invaluable lessons about problem-solving and staying focused under pressure.

However, I firmly believe that luck is only part of the equation. While good luck has opened doors and provided opportunities, it’s the hard work, dedication, and strategic thinking that have allowed me to capitalize on those moments.
