Today we’d like to introduce you to Nosa Osagie
Hi Nosa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up I have always had a passion for music and as time went on I started making songs as a hobby in High school, I didn’t really think I would take it as a career path back then but I noticed most people I shared my music with would tell me it was really good. As years went by I realized I just had a talent for it so I decided to give it my all and take it more serious. Once I made up my mind that was what I wanted I gradually started releasing mixtapes and videos and this has helped me cultivate a small but loyal fanbase over the years. I’m still working on expanding my fanbase on a national level but global recognition is the real goal.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road but I use all obstacles I face to enhance my music by telling personal stories. Without difficulties I would not have any real story to tell. I have faced numerous challenges on my way to this point but I know it takes pressure to make diamonds so I see every obstacle as a challenge that would only make my story more impactful when it’s all said and done.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Trap HipHop artist and I am most proud of my music catalogue. I have releases over 50 songs since I kicked off my career and I look at them as a time stamp and diary of my existence, I am proud of the fact that I can turn my creative thoughts into reality and my talent sets me apart from everyone else. Making music comes naturally to me without having to work hard, I can take breaks from recording for as long as I want and get right back to it like nothing happened, I personally think anytime I take a break and come back my new work sounds better. Most artists have to make a song every day and hone their craft frequently to achieve a certain level of quality but for me I don’t need constant practice, I make magic anytime I step in the booth.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I think it’s always better to let those things/people find you instead of going out your way to look for them. In my journey most people that ended up helping me came out the blue, it wasn’t ever planned, the most important thing is to keep working and your tribe will find you.
