We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Emanuel Cabrera. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Emanuel below.
Emanuel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The brand was built on the foundation of Heaven on Earth, taking direct inspiration from Genesis and God’s original design for creation: the Garden of Eden. The ides came when I noticed that the world is crumbling and falling apart, and the fact is that my generation is looking for answers. Everyone needs answers, they need peace, love, identity, and purpose. This is why I created this brand. We do not have to wait to die and to go to heaven in order to experience eternity. We can experience heaven here and now. I knew this brand was going to last because of the now message and the impact that this message will have on people. It is not just about products, but the relationship and message that you build with the customer. My artistic background has allowed me to create designs that the market has not yet seen.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a self-taught artist that has drawn for my whole life, and in April of 2022 launched my business alongside my brother, and it is called EDEN. It is an idea we have worked on since the pandemic, and we honed in on the message behind every one of our products. The designs we make are derived from Christian concepts and characters, but we are nonetheless aiming to make a global impact and designs for all. Our first collection, “Heaven and Hell”, released with art prints and stickers, and we are currently working on our first t-shirt collection expected to drop soon. One of the things that I want my customers to know is that we provide the best quality shirts and products, and offer a blend between cartoon characters and realistic art, taking inspiration from artists such as Takashi Murakami and Kieth Harring. We believe that we can change the world through our brand, and change the reputation that ‘christian mercy’ has. We have often seen that christian shirts all have the same design, with similar fonts and graphics. However, we offer new designs and modern graphics that will make the difference and that will stand out amongst other brands.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
The fundings for the business came from the money that I have received from my years of being a freelancer. For about 3 years, I have dedicated myself to making designs, album covers, shoes, and clothing lines for other clients, therefore I had some capital to start from. This impulsed me to make a name for myself and create a brand that is unique, where I can share the ideas that I have received from God and from the Bible.
We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process./
My first collection was manufactured by a premium print shop, and every print was made on 11×17 thick satin paper, and the stickers have the same outsourcing. However, the mercy we will be selling will be printed at home, outsourcing the blanks from New Zealand, with the best quality, and we will be screen printing the design in-house. This also allows us to print the design on many other things, including hoodies, wallets, pants, jeans, and more. There is no limit to what our brand can offer the customer.
