We were lucky to catch up with T.h. Irwin recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, T.H. thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Jessica and T.H. were best friends as young couples in their 20s, then growing up , building careers and starting families. Everything looked great on the outside, nice homes, great trips and all of the things. Then 13 years into their marriages, they found out that their husbands were cheating with other women for many years and traveling with their girlfriends while Jessica and T.H. were in their respective homes, with young children and working. Due to the lack of resources to help them navigate their divorces, they started a free, trustworthy platform to help anyone touched directly or indirectly by divorce. They had one another through it all and beyond. Now, being out of their marriages longer than they were in them, they felt a need to create a space to empower, educate and support anyone touched by divorce to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. We’ve lived it, so we get it – and we built it. exEXPERTS & Divorce etc… podcast.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Jessica is a TV producer for a major network, she also has her real estate license and hustles in business in NYC. She knows how to run a show and put her expertise into our Divorce etc… podcast.

T.H. is a marketing and strategy expert and as an Intrepreneur at a traditional media company, has taken her cross-functional skills to build brands and experiences.

More than 50% of married couples get a divorce in the US. Most of them do not have the knowledge or support to “successfully” navigate their way. The process of divorce is hugely overwhelming and can be debilitating when you have to go to work, raise kids and handle finances and a legal process that you know nothing about.

These amazing women built a honest and trustworthy resource to help you at any stage, even while you are thinking about it and definitely for what’s next once you are divorced.

We are best friends with different perspectives and different experiences who still support one another and support our audience with coaching, private meet-ups and through our public facing articles and Divorce etc… podcast.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

exEXPERTS is self-funded. The business partners dedicated an equal amount of money to build this vetted, trustworthy resource platform. As new entrepreneurs, they made many mistakes and now know what not to do when starting something new. Communication is key to creating a new venture, especially with your best friend. Money is important and so is the mission.

Just be yourself! Don’t worry about the filters – just make sure your message is authentic, clear and that you offer a solution to a problem.
