We were lucky to catch up with Chiara Townley recently and have shared our conversation below.
Chiara, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to help women activate their confidence, feminine power, and intuition through motherhood. The story behind this mission is personal. I went through a lot during the transition to motherhood. I had a traumatic birth and postpartum depression and anxiety. I healed by connecting with the emotions in my body with the guidance of the chakra system and working on myself energetically.
Motherhood was the catalyst for my spiritual awakening. This transition brought up unresolved emotions and traumas of the past and allowed me to heal what was blocking me from becoming the mom I wanted to be. In this society, moms are neglected, especially during the transition to motherhood. It’s all about the baby. If the baby is healthy, everything is good. Yet, if the mom is unhappy, her children can’t be happy.
This is where I come in: My job is to care for the mom, help her heal, and tune into her power. I do it unconventionally through energy work, soul astrology, and other intuitive tools. When moms do the inner work and align with their soul paths, they heal past and future generations and create new legacies. This creates a ripple effect, and the world becomes a better place.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was born and raised in Italy. I studied languages and tourism, so nothing related to what I do now. My life changed when I met the love of my life in London while working in a hotel. The love story that followed tested everything: My courage, resilience, mental and emotional health, and faith. There was a happy ending, which brought me to live in the United States. When I moved, I got into writing and worked as a freelance writer.
Motherhood turned my life upside down. My transition to motherhood was traumatic, and I healed by putting into practice many years of studying spiritual subjects. After I healed, I deeply desired to help other women transitioning to motherhood. I created my first one-on-one coaching program focused on helping moms-to-be and moms activate their confidence, feminine power, and intuition. I use energy work, soul astrology, and other intuitive tools.
With time, I also added a self-paced course about chakras specific for motherhood (the first of its kind) to show moms how motherhood impacts the chakras and how to release blocks. I recently released an audio series with quick healing meditations to help busy moms reclaim their calm and power in their everyday lives. I’m very proud of my offerings. My favorite is the one-on-one package because it’s intimate and allows for deep transformations.
What sets me apart is my deep knowledge of the energetic body in motherhood and my unique ability to blend my spiritual insights with practical guidance. What I want my audience to know is that motherhood is an opportunity to do the sacred work that impacts future generations and legacies. Motherhood is not just about daily tasks—it’s a portal to activate feminine power and intuition, shape future generations, and change the world.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I consider myself a very resilient person. Being born in Italy and having the courage to change my life repeatedly to live in different countries (UK, Spain, US) has undoubtedly contributed to this resilience. My love story with my now-American husband was complicated: We had to deal with immigration issues and long distance and broke up for a while. That time was dark, but I never lost hope. My family and friends thought I was crazy to believe in our story after the breakup, but I married him against all odds.
Motherhood was a whole other beast, though. I have two children now (a 5-year-old and a 6-month-old). Both my pregnancies were challenging for my body, and I had a lot of physical pain overall. My first birth was traumatic, an unplanned c-section, and I also had postpartum depression and anxiety. But I transformed the pain. I see myself as an alchemist. I didn’t just heal myself, but I transformed this experience into my life mission. Now, I help other moms do this alchemical work to become the best version of themselves.
My last birth was a miracle against all odds. I chose to have a home birth after a c-section. This is highly discouraged, but I didn’t listen to the noise. I followed my intuition all the way. I worked with a midwife and doula. I pushed for 4 hours and got very close to being transferred to the hospital, but I didn’t give up. This birth was a miracle of the 11th hour. It was a healing experience after the first traumatic birth, and it has allowed me to access a new level of feminine power and expansion.
My whole adult life is a testament to my resilience.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
First of all, I believe that Earth is the school our souls choose to learn lessons in, so our repeating patterns can show us the lessons we need to know to move forward. These lessons are major, like self-love or trusting your inner guidance against all odds. We continue to meet the same patterns in different situations until we learn the lesson. Many of the beliefs we learned come from how we were raised. Many of these beliefs are lessons we need to unlearn because they’re the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves and the world around us.
Healing work is, at its core, the process of unlearning these beliefs that we consider truth because we grew up with them. So, that being said, one of these lessons I grew up with that I had to unlearn is that “life is hard, and we have to struggle.” The healing work I have done on myself showed me that we are the ones who make life difficult by constantly living in the past and the future. When we’re truly present, we can allow ourselves to feel our emotions, release them, and move forward. The spiritual perspective also helps me see the bigger purpose in my small or big challenges.
