Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexander Alamo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alexander, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is to create a generational business for my children. I grew up in a town where I wasn’t meant to be successful, a town ridden with drugs and crime and a low success rate among my peers. After high school I was trending down that same statistic. But I knew I was worth more than the statistic implied. It did take a while to get to where I am now, and many times my mission failed. But my perseverance didn’t allow me to quit, my children didn’t allow me to quit, and most importantly my faith didn’t allow me to quit.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always wanted to be a photographer, either photographing people, cars, food. But I never thought about photographing homes until I realize how successful you can be in this career. It was difficult at first to compete against established businesses in the same field. Along with the cost of the equipment. But I knew this was the way out to have financial freedom along with an increase of happiness.
I provide high end real estate photography and videography for realtors and designers to promote either their business or to help agents sell homes. I say what sets me apart from others is my attitude and attention to detail, I am proud of my work and brings joy and happiness when my clients are just as happy with the quality of work I provide.
I’m most proud of myself being able to get out of the “hood” and making my family proud, especially my children and wife. I was never in a position to succeed, but we live in a great country that if we set our mind to it, anything is possible, especially if we put God in the center of our lives. I am extremely grateful and blessed to be in the position that I am to be able to provide for my family.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believed what helped me with my reputation is consistency of the quality of work I provide, along with solving any problems my clients have to help them be successful.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Believe it or not… word of mouth. I don’t promote my business as much as I should but I stay extremely busy due to word of mouth. As long as you provide a good product and have a solid relationship with your clients, your clients will take care of you. That includes sharing your business to others in the same field.
