We were lucky to catch up with Clarissa Schulz recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Clarissa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
There are so many exciting and trendy items in weddings right now, including dramatic draping, the use of color, serpentine tables, and the list goes on. However, the biggest trend I’m seeing in the wedding industry is personalization. I believe this trend is truly evergreen. A wedding is such a significant moment in our couples’ lives, and more couples want aesthetic choices that are rooted in personal stories or moments.
I love when couples want to incorporate more aspects of their story in their wedding day. In our designs, each aesthetic choice is intentional and has a rationale behind it. A concern with some couples is that the wedding becomes too trendy, but adding bits of your story or personality is always in style! A “classic” or “timeless” wedding can still be achievable when the personalization is intentional. As a result, their wedding day becomes a true reflection of them.
There are so many opportunities for personalization in your wedding day, from small items like cocktail napkins, to larger pieces that speak to a couple’s love story.
One of my couples decided to add photos of their married relatives to their welcome table. On wedding day, my team and I had their photos put in the most beautiful frames to display next to their welcome sign. I loved this idea because it was so personal, and it was such a sweet way to honor the couple’s family members on their wedding day.
We believe that each wedding is unique, because each love story is unique! No two weddings will be the same, and we want to celebrate and lean into it through the design, planning process, and the wedding day as a whole. In our minds, personalization is not just a trend, but an integral aspect of each wedding.

Clarissa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi all! I’m Clarissa Schulz, and my company is Infinite Love Events. We are a wedding planning and design company based in California.
I began my event planning career in 2014, when I planned events and retreats for 100+ people in college. It sparked an interest and love in event planning that I still have over 10 years later! I came back to event planning in 2020, and never looked back. I began assisting other local planners in my area, and fell in love with it all over again! This time, I specifically focused on weddings. I love celebrating love, and I love being able to support couples in this important time in their lives!
We offer full service planning and design, wedding management + design, and wedding management + coordination packages. Each wedding is intentionally designed to curate a cohesive experience throughout the entire day and to create an atmosphere for guests and our couples to enjoy the day to its fullest!
I would love for those reading to know that as a company, we take your trust in us to heart. This is likely the biggest event you’ll ever throw, and although there are so many details that go into it, we want our couples who work with us to truly enjoy each moment leading up to and on wedding day. We want you to feel as supported as possible during this season, and to know that you always have us in your corner to advocate for you and to create the wedding of your dreams. We’re so grateful for the amazing couples who choose to work with us!

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Social Media has been a great resource for us! I’ve loved being able to connect with couples and other vendors through Instagram and Tiktok! With so much information and access for couples, I think it’s so important to put out content that is not only demonstrative of who you are as a brand and company, but also to add value. I love incorporating tips and advice for couples so that they know they can turn to us as a trusted source.
The couples that inquire with us through Instagram already have an idea of who we are based on what we post. This allows us to work with the sweetest couples who also align with our brand and core values.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Connection. This year was a big year of connection for us. Connecting with vendors and venues that align with our brand and identity has been so integral to building a reputation in our area. It’s so important to us to find vendor partners that uphold the same standards of professionalism and camaraderie on wedding day.
I’m also grateful to have found communities of planners who are supportive, uplift each other, and learn from one another! Having that support from other planners has been invaluable for us.
