Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Caroline Marie. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Caroline, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
Growing up, my parents always encouraged me to think for myself. “Never follow the herd; it tends to rush to the cliff,” my mom would say. Once you choose the artist’s path, it’s crucial to find your own voice and your true self—the unique gift you bring to the world. That’s the only way to succeed; no one else can be you.
The entertainment world is full of things that “shine bright but aren’t always gold,” as we say in Brazil. To navigate it, you need a strong, independent sense of self and the ability to discern what truly matters.

Caroline, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m French-Brazilian, born in Brazil, and later moved to Paris to study film directing.
I ended up at a drama school in São Paulo and decided to fully commit. I rediscovered my passion for storytelling and creative freedom.
In terms of roles, I particularly enjoy playing action characters. I’m a trained martial artist, horse rider, and professional ballet dancer, which gives me a strong physical presence. Comedy is another major passion of mine, which led to a role in an M. Night Shyamalan film and opened many other doors. For dramatic roles, I typically perform in dark comedies or dramatic/romantic comedies.
After graduating from drama school, I moved to Madrid, then to London, where I stayed for four years. I finally moved to Los Angeles about a year ago on an O-1B artistic visa, and I’m loving every moment of it!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
When I was 15, I discovered the joy of making others laugh. Through my writing and acting, I see it as my mission to bring healing through humor, whether it’s through something dramatic or purely silly.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
As a creative, I think there’s something empowering about owning our own path, our day, and our voice, along with the struggle and uncertainty that obviously comes with it. To non-creatives, this must seem torturous, but for us, it’s the way to avoid pain. It’s the joy.
