We recently connected with Carolina Henao-Feliu and have shared our conversation below.
Carolina , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
The vision of home flipping started back in 2001 when Trading Places was the best show on TLC — I loved how they would transform any home into a dream for homeowners. I loved real estate and home development since then and I knew I would eventually fall into this industry. Four years ago, I began taking Real Estate classes to begin my endeavor as a Real Estate Investor in Miami. My entire life, I was taught to prepare for anything and have a plan so it can come to fruition – which is what happened now. During my years in Advertising and the HealthCare industry, I managed to save enough money alongside my husband and put it into what is now Kingdom Investment Services. That’s where Kingdom Investment Services began, the name arose from me ultimately wanting to build a kingdom/home for people in need. (Helping women in need and allowing them to build themselves up psychologically and spiritually). I’m Proud of my company because what sets us apart from others is that we take every project like if it was for ourselves. We don’t cut corners, and we offer only the best. Also very happy And proud of my team because they put their hearts into everything they do. I want our clients, fans or followers to know that if you are consistent and work hard and always do the right thing, only good things will follow.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I started in this business I didn’t know anyone or knew anything about this business. Therefore; one of the first steps I needed to have was having a vision, I created, organized and executed a realistic plan knowing I could face challenges. One of those challenges was trusting, relying on others and learning the business because in my case I was starting in a new industry all together. I came from the medical and healthcare industry to the real estate industry. The most difficult thing I faced was creating a team to make sure all pieces fall into place and knowing that this team was as important as I was to see my vision turn into reality. As my journey started, I learned trusting was an important key in creating the proper system.
Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
