Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cesar Medina. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cesar, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
What I do different from other agents in the industry, is the offering of more to the client than what I receive. Let me explain what I mean. Agents are required by law to do what is called “fiduciary duties”. which are Loyalty, Confidentiality, Disclosure, Obedience, Reasonable care and diligence , and Accounting. If an agent completes this standard they have done their job. I go the extra mile, by giving my clients, investment opportunities, constant free knowledge, availability that truly meets their schedule, and so much more. M y belief is that, as agents, we must be servants to our clients. Without them, we are truly nothing in this field. These people trust me with sometimes they whole life funds, I must give up my pride and ego, to serve them fully. A difference like this matters simply for the sake of trust. Every transaction in the history of economy, whether it be monetary or not, has been established on trust. Going the extra mile for clients, is further showing through actions, that I as an agent, am always looking to build deeper and intimate levels of trust.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I will be answering the questions in the order which they were prompted to me. I got into the real estate industry simply due to the fact that one of my friends wanted to compete with me, and seeing who could sell the most homes in 3 years ( I won by the way). The service I offer is specializing in first time, usually first generation home buyers. Specifically minorities. What I have solved for my clients is the simple problem of fear and lack of knowledge when it comes to buying a home. Many of my clients never thought they could actually buy a home! I am most proud in the fact that I actually try to understand clients emotions, point of views, and concerns. I notice many agents actually do not even try to get to know their clients, and simply focus on numbers.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
In my current experience, posting educational videos about housing online and making a website. 91% of my clients have been through the online marketing I have done.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I had none. I went into debt to get into real estate. I maxed out my credit cards, let my credit deplete, all for the sake of growing my business and being an actual representative for people like me, who come from actual poverty and want something better for their lives.
