Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tania Chakraborty. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Tania , thanks for joining us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
As a mom content creator, I’ve faced a fair share of unexpected challenges. One of the biggest has been balancing my creative pursuits with the demands of motherhood. There have been countless times when I’ve felt overwhelmed by the juggling act of trying to be a present and involved mom while also maintaining a consistent output of content.
One particular memory stands out. I was in the middle of filming a video about a new parenting hack I’d discovered when my toddler decided to have a full-blown meltdown. It was a classic tantrum – screaming, crying, and refusing to cooperate. I tried everything I could think of to calm him down, but nothing worked. I felt a wave of frustration and disappointment wash over me. I had spent so much time planning and preparing for this video, and now it seemed like it was going to be a complete waste of time. And let’s not forget mom guilt- I felt as if I was the cause of my toddlers emotional outburst and I was prioritizing making a video, over spending time him. The feeling of failing as a mother was so devastating that I had almost quit, almost….
I decided to take a break and try again later. Instead of getting frustrated, I spent some quality time with my son, I had to learn to be flexible and adaptable.
That experience taught me a valuable lesson: sometimes, the most unexpected challenges can lead to the most meaningful moments. It also reminded me that it’s okay to take a break and prioritize my mental health and well-being. As a mom content creator, I’ve learned to embrace the chaos and find humor in the unexpected.
And share that humor with my valuable viewers.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Tania, the face behind Quirky_lens, a goofy mom content creator who loves sharing funny and relatable stories about my life as a mom to a toddler (now a proper kid).
My Instagram page was initially my photography page where I used to share my work and used it as a portfolio for my new clients. Comedy was not in the books…it was not even a word in my chapter, until, I had my baby.
And as internet search works, I was constantly Googling things for my baby and as a result of targeted feeds my IG feed used to be filled with all these weird motherhood contents, and most of them were morbid.
I knew being a parent was no joke but to only find negativity in it? was that really a way to live?
It was when Reels and Tiktok became a part of our daily life in the pandemic that I found a few comedy sketches on being a parent. It was a beautiful reminder that “I am not alone”, “all kids are weird”, and found the fun in parenting that I decided to make a few videos myself and make this a way to connect with other moms and share my experiences. I started posting short videos on social media, and to my surprise, they resonated with a lot of people.
I offer a variety of content, including vlogs, short-form videos. My focus is on creating content that is both entertaining and informative. I share tips and tricks for parenting, funny anecdotes about my kid’s antics, and insights into the challenges and joys of motherhood.
I aim to solve the problem of feeling isolated and overwhelmed as a mom. By sharing my experiences, I hope to connect with other moms and let them know that they’re not alone. I also want to provide a much-needed dose of humor and laughter in the often stressful world of parenting.
I’m most proud of the community I’ve built around my brand. My followers are a supportive and inspiring group of moms who share their experiences and offer each other encouragement. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many amazing people and make a positive impact on their lives.
I hope that potential clients and followers will see me as a relatable and trustworthy source of information and inspiration. I believe that my content can help them to feel more connected to other moms and to find humor and joy in the challenges of parenting.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a mom content creator is the ability to connect with other moms and make them feel less alone. I love hearing stories from my followers about how my content has helped them through a difficult time or made them laugh. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that I’m making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Additionally, I find it incredibly rewarding to express myself creatively and share my experiences with the world. I love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with creating something from scratch and seeing it resonate with people. It’s a truly fulfilling experience.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
One of the biggest challenges that non-creatives often struggle to understand is the inconsistency of income. As a small content creator, my income is not steady or predictable. There are months when I have a lot of work and earn a decent amount, but there are also months when things are slow and I barely make any money. This can be a stressful and uncertain way to live, but it’s also part of the risk that comes with being a creative.
Another challenge that non-creatives may not fully appreciate is the amount of work that goes into running a creative business. As a solopreneur, I have to handle everything myself, from creating content to managing my finances. This can be overwhelming at times, but it’s also rewarding to see the fruits of my labor.
Overall, being a creative is a challenging but fulfilling journey. It requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. But if you’re passionate about your craft, the rewards can be great.
