The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is the creation of my upcoming album. It’s deeply personal because it represents the culmination of years of growth, both as an artist and as a person. The journey behind this album started during one of the hardest periods of my life—where music became my refuge. The songs in this project reflect my battles, my joys, and the moments that shaped me.
What makes it particularly meaningful is the connection I’ve built with my audience. They’ve been with me through highs and lows, and this album is my way of giving back. Every lyric, every beat is infused with that energy. I’ve poured my heart into it, hoping that others will find solace, inspiration, or even just feel less alone through the music. It’s not just an album for me; it’s my story, and I believe it will resonate with many.

For those who may not be familiar with me, I’m Still Davis, a musician and songwriter. Music has always been in my blood, and my journey into this industry began at a young age. I grew up surrounded by a blend of different musical styles, and I was constantly experimenting with sounds and lyrics that spoke to my experiences and emotions. Over time, that passion for music evolved, leading me to pursue a professional career where I could share my voice with the world.

What sets me apart is that my music is authentic and deeply personal. I write about the real things in life—the struggles, the victories, the pain, and the joy. It’s about creating a genuine connection with my listeners. My sound blends soulful rhythms with modern influences, which allows me to stay true to my roots while still pushing boundaries and exploring new creative directions.

I provide my audience with songs that they can relate to on an emotional level. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve stayed true to myself throughout my career and that my fans appreciate that honesty in my music.

The story with Coolio is really a pivotal moment in my journey that perfectly illustrates resilience and adaptability in the industry. I was working on the song *”Waiting for Freedom”*, which is a very personal track, when I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Coolio, a music legend. We had met at a studio in Los Angeles, and he immediately connected with the essence of the song.

What makes this experience unforgettable is what happened on the day of the recording. Coolio was set to record his parts, but there was a huge technical issue at the studio – we received a last-minute call that a crucial piece of equipment was out of service. At that moment, it was either delay everything or improvise. But Coolio, with all his experience and calmness, insisted on moving forward. We rearranged the setup and, against all odds, managed to record his parts despite less-than-ideal conditions.

What I learned that day is that it’s not just about the music; it’s about attitude. Coolio showed me that no matter the obstacles, if you believe in what you’re doing, you’ll always find a way. This collaboration marked my career, not just because we created an amazing song, but because it taught me to stay flexible and keep pushing forward, no matter what challenges arise.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

Absolutely, the mission behind my creative journey is to use music as a tool for connection, healing, and hope. Throughout my life and career, I’ve experienced both light and dark moments, and I’ve seen firsthand how music has the power to unite people and inspire change.

A key example of this is my upcoming single, *”Dance in the Dark.”* The song is inspired by the idea that even in our darkest moments, we must keep moving, keep dancing, and find hope amidst the chaos. It’s a message that resonates deeply with me, especially given the challenging times we’re all facing globally. I believe music can give people the strength to endure and remind them that better days are ahead.

Ultimately, my goal is to create music that speaks to the soul, that transcends boundaries, and that gives people a sense of belonging and hope, no matter where they are in the world.
