Steve, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I’ve always had a deep passion for storytelling, which was the foundation of my journey into public relations. From a young age, I was captivated by how media could shape narratives and influence perceptions. This passion carried me through my academic years and led me to pursue a career in Public Relations over 17 years ago. Early on, I realized the profound impact media could have in amplifying voices and elevating brands.
In 2011, I founded Steve Nguyen & Associates℠ (SNA), and our mission has remained clear: to create powerful narratives and deliver high-impact visibility for our clients. I wanted to build a firm that could strategically navigate the intricacies of media while staying true to each client’s story and goals. We’ve since grown into a global PR and digital marketing agency, collaborating with renowned brands and talents across industries like food, wellness, entertainment, and hospitality. The heart of our mission is to empower and elevate our clients, helping them break through to new markets, launch products, or build brand recognition. This journey has been a mix of passion, persistence, and creativity, and I am proud of what we’ve built.

Steve, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started my career in Public Relations over 17 years ago with a deep-rooted love for media and storytelling. This passion evolved into a career where I had the opportunity to work with leading figures in entertainment [film + TV], sports, music, and film. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with major clients like Universal Pictures, Lionsgate, and iHeartMedia, and have worked across industries that include film + TV, music, health, beauty, fashion, and hospitality. SNA is best known as SNA Communications and we specialize in public relations and digital marketing with a focus on creating high visibility and opportunities for our clients.
What sets SNA Communications apart is our tailored approach. We don’t just craft campaigns—we become strategic partners for our clients, whether it’s helping a startup gain traction or enabling a Fortune 500 company to expand its reach. We’ve helped turn innovative ideas into household names and shared powerful stories with the world. We have built teams in Los Angeles, Orange County, Las Vegas, New York and continue to expand. My team and I are most proud of the strong relationships we’ve built and the results we’ve achieved for our clients. Our work is fueled by a commitment to excellence, and we pride ourselves on being a trusted partner in our clients’ journeys to success.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
One of the key factors that helped build my reputation in this industry is hard work and persistence. As a person of Asian descent in the entertainment industry, I faced early challenges and a lack of representation. This only motivated me to work twice as hard. The work ethic instilled by my parents, who were boat refugees from Vietnam, fueled my determination. Over time, my dedication earned the trust of entertainment executives and major clients, allowing me to represent A-list talent and leading brands.
Beyond hard work, delivering consistent results has been a significant driver of our reputation. We’re known for executing high-impact PR campaigns that get results. Whether it’s securing a front-page media placement or guiding a brand through a transformative launch, our results speak for themselves.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Our best source of new clients has consistently been word-of-mouth and referrals. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our clients, and the success of those relationships often leads to referrals from satisfied clients and industry peers. We’ve worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment and have built a network that extends across multiple industries. The strong connections we’ve fostered, coupled with our track record of delivering results, have been instrumental in our growth. In this business, trust and reputation go a long way, and I’m grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to continue expanding our client base through these avenues.
