We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Wav Lee a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Wav, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

This November I’m dropping an album that I’ve been working on for the last 2 years. The album is called “If you know, you know” and will feature multiple artists from ogden and salt lake as well as artists from all over the country.

This album is an accumulation of the relationships and experiences that made me the producer I am today and I’m honored to showcase the talented artists that have trusted me and collaborated with me in the last few years.

This project is so meaningful to me because I wouldn’t be the producer that I am without the incredible artists that are represented on the album. Because of their collaboration, feedback and trust, we’ve been able to curate a musical experience that I’m very proud of and I hope the world will enjoy it as much as I do.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I go by the name “Wav Lee” and I’m a music producer, audio engineer, creative, business owner and family man.

I’ve been recording music artists from my studio since 2022 and producing for music artists since 2020.

I serve the local communities of Ogden and Salt Lake City but my reach goes beyond the borders of the state of Utah. I’ve been traveling and collaborating with artists all over the country since 2021 and these experiences have allowed me to learn skills, grow my network, and put myself in a position to bring value to the amazing artists in my home state.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal is to demonstrate to the creatives and musical talent in my community that our artistic dreams and goals are truly within our reach.

We CAN build businesses, fan bases, communities and culture with enough drive, passion, hard work and opportunity.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Consistency and quality have been key.

When I’m in a session recording an artist, or when I’m creating a beat for an artist or mixing their song, my primary objective is to exceed expectations and when I do, they tell their friends and peers in the community. Then we do it all over again.

Documenting the process and sharing on social media is a huge part of this as well.
