Brittany, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
From starting out bartending in the hospitality industry, I always curated a unique vibe that was always mixed with different ethnicities, backgrounds, walks of life, careers, conversations, personalities, ages, etc. and it was crafted with pure genuineness and no judgment. Therefore, it created a safe haven for everyone to just be themselves in their own way and to also engage with others freely and openly. Mixing all that together, kind of created the “In The Mixx With Britt” business name. People were always in the mix with Britt to say the least.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Brittany. I am the owner of In The Mixx With Britt. I started in the hospitality industry almost ten years ago. I started out as a server, then bartender, to a trainer, and also management in various locations. From there, I lost my employment at a very prominent restaurant in Atlanta, GA that was home to me due to a natural disaster. After the loss, I attempted to work at different locations in the hospitality industry but they never felt like home or gave the energy of what I was looking for. Shortly after, Covid took place and truly shifted the hospitality industry and nothing was essentially the same. I stopped working at different establishments but everyone was always asking me “where am I working at now?”, and I would say “no where”. It was a repeat question that I was asked on many occasions. It was during that time that I said, I know what the people are missing and what they are looking to have and that prompted me to start my business. My business provides bartending services for any event or any occasion, young to old, graduation to baby showers, weddings to retirements, birthdays to family reunions, – you name it and I do it. I am most proud of me! My business is like my second child. I often times sit back and cry tears of joy because I am truly humbled to know where I started and to know where I am headed. It has been a challenging but beautiful journey and I would not trade it for the world. I want potential clients, followers, and fans to know that I am for you. I say that to say that I am a regular person just like any other individual and I will always stay true to my humble beginnings and to my genuine self. I want people to know that it is not just a service, but it is a forever memory that you will hold on to for forever and I promise I will give you that for years to come for you to always look back on and want to book my services. A vibe will be curated that you will never find anywhere else.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What helped me to build my reputation within my market was starting out at restaurants, lounges, and night venues. This alone set me apart because people would only come to the spaces I worked in to see me and to be there when I was working for the good vibes and the great energy all around. No matter the location or the place, people would always want to be wherever I was working at and that alone followed me and has been such a blessing. That standard I set led to my reputation which led to my business and helped me within my market.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been referrals. 80%-90% of my clientele comes from the people who know me, people that have attended an event I have bartended at, or simply just word of mouth. People are always looking to host now in the presence of loved ones or often times more secluded spaces with ones near and dear to them. I am always referred for small intimate events and even the larger scales of businesses. I vow to always keep my name in rooms that will continue to open doors for me and I do just that by my brand, my work ethic, and me just genuinely being Brittany. I make sure that every event I do leaves a stamp, a blueprint, a piece of Britt – and from that alone it will always generate new clientele.
