Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chris Gray. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
CHRIS, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
Nah not yet but thats a goal of mines but that comes from hard work. I try not to let view counts or engagement sway me in any particular direction. Im comfortable going taking the long way around as long as Im doing the content I want to do over what an algorithm tells me. Im learning everything on the fly from producing, editing, art work, etc if I had prior experience in those fields then I would be a lot further along. Also knowing what kind of videos work for each platform based on how the user consumes it is a huge thing I never thought about until this year. Its a learning process for sure.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Im Chris Gray im 41 and I was married but now divorced. I always was creative and always needed some type of creative outlet and when I was married that was rap and I was finally in a position to where I an do it and not worry about money. Fast forward a year I get divorced and just did some soul searching because the divorce took whatever creative energy I had for rap. Took some time and started a relationship podcast with a friend of mines called So,,,Were Gonna Have A Podcast. We did a about 50 episodes but it wasnt hitting like I wanted and I also got tired talking about relationships and I wanted to have fun. So I ended that show and rebranded as Chris Hates Everything and that changed into what we know now The Chris Gray Show. I offer a unique view on things as a old black guy with no kids and recently divorced, on this podcast journey that gives me a sense of purpose.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The biggest goal is for the content to been seen by the largest amount of people on a consistent basis. If that goal is achived then everything else I could want from this will follow.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Still in the middle of building an audience and its basially liked minded people who share the same views I do or just find my views funny beacuse they arent really that deep to begin with. Almost like a alternative look at things that we alll look at on a day to day basis. The biggest piece of advice I can give is just be unique and be yourself. The biggest people in this game are unique from one another so do things that set you apart from the rest of the pack.
