We recently connected with Panther Rose and have shared our conversation below.

Panther , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

Coming to Los Angeles to pursue my Acting goals was definitely a big risk. I had no family in LA, nowhere to live, and my only ties out here were to an acting class that I fell in love with. I had to leave after a year due to personal challenges but my plan was to come back and that’s exactly what I did. I have been involved in numerous projects since returning and it definitely paid off. My last project released is a Thriller entitled ’The Last Patient’ and is streaming on Amazon Prime as well as on Tubi. I play the Lead Character Dr Perrin in a solid Thriller.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I fell in love with performing arts at the age of nine when I held my first job for Colonial Williamsburg Virginia. This and also being a part of a female rap/dance group at a young age sparked the love for the arts in general. I began cheerleading all the way until I cheered for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. My music career lead me all around the world performing and recording music. I have music placements in a couple of films, such as Law of Attraction and OG Bosslady. I have had collaborations with a couple of Berlin Germany Artists and Producers, Nena Buddermeir and DJ Tomekk. I studied acting Professionally under Bobbi, Larry and Richie Chance of Hollywood Actors Studio, formerly Xpressions when it was by referral only. This was the class that I fell in love with, absolutely raw. My individual experience in life has been nothing short of a movie and this is what sets me apart from other actors. No one has experienced my life but me and that’s what I bring to the screen. I’m most proud of the fact that I don’t give up no matter what. My zeal and my perseverance are unmatched. I love what I do and I love being in the element, that’s when I’m most happy and fulfilled, so that’s when you’ll get the best out of me. I work well in the element and love being challenged playing any character.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.

A non creative does everything by the book and arrives at the American Dream in record speed. A creative goes through the squiggly lines that no one sees but us. The non traditional couch surfer, the homeless for a while, with a car without a car, able to attend acting classes but not really having access to a refrigerator or three solid meals a day. Not having seen your family for some years and you know it is the sacrifice that you must make. The grind. Living to grind. To get one step closer to something that drives you that ignites you, something that a nine to five could never do. The excitement of performing as an Actor is the reason you will endure a town that makes you feel invisible for Years. Rejection is just a part of the game. The deep down insatiable craving for the thing that you have always wanted but even when you get a taste you always want more. A normal life would never be enough for the real actor.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

Committing to returning to LA after I had to move to take care of family, proved that I had the resilience necessary to make it in this world. When you keep your word to yourself after life gives you major trials is a testament that you are on the right path. Resiliency, dedication, perseverance, zeal, determination, grit, fight, and a whole lot of belief in self are some of the ingredients that allowed me to return to take my rightful place.
