We recently connected with Vanessa Camargo and have shared our conversation below.
Vanessa, appreciate you joining us today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
I’m blessed to be able to make a full-time living with my creative work, and I have been working from home for almost three years now. It has been a journey that I have been able to take thanks to my organizational skills, planning, and creative ideas. Working remotely for different companies has given me the flexibility that I always wanted.
I have long been a firm believer in the power of social media and its infinite potential, but I had not been able to dedicate all my time to it until I was presented with the opportunity to be able to stay at home and develop a career in it. Of course, it was not easy at the beginning. Also, when you work from home, you need to have a lot of discipline and organization since these are keys to success. It is very important to set clear goals and create a method to maintain discipline.
If I could give you a tip on how to speed up this whole process, I think it would be to believe more in yourself and your potential and to be consistent since I think many of us hesitate for fear of what others might think or how they might react to what we are doing. But over time, I realized that if I do things with my heart, without harming anyone, then what others think doesn’t matter. It’s about doing what makes you happy.
I always say that I’d rather try and fail than live with the regret of not knowing what could have happened. That’s the approach I’ve taken: taking risks, believing in my passion, and now being able to enjoy making a living doing what I truly love.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who don’t know me yet, I’m a Latina content creator who is passionate about creating fun and relatable content that resonates with my audience. I love working with companies showcasing their products, especially when it comes to introducing new products to the Latin community. Many times, there are amazing products that my community may not know about, and I enjoy being that bridge that provides something valuable and relevant.
Beyond that, I focus on content that connects with people on a personal level. I believe that laughter and joy have the power to change someone’s mood and bring positivity to their lives, so creating fun content is something I really enjoy. Right now, I’m at a stage in my career where I want to empower women to conquer the lives of their dreams. We are all capable of achieving great things, whether through social media or in our daily lives, as long as we believe in our potential there will always be a possibility. I want to build a community to help people start from scratch, when it comes to social media. Sometimes the content and information available is too complicated and overwhelming, or people just don’t know where to start. My goal is to simplify things and make it easier for people to be a part of this infinite digital world.
I don’t believe in restricting myself to just one niche. Life is about telling stories and sharing our experiences, and as individuals, we are not defined by just one thing. I like to show that people are a mix of amazing talents, stories, and passions.

How did you build your audience on social media?
When I decided to fully commit to building my social media presence and giving it my all, one of the key lessons I learned was the importance of consistency. Being authentic and real is what really helps you connect with people. No matter what type of content you create, one of the most important things is how you engage with your audience. When you show up consistently and offer value, your audience will naturally start to engage and give something in return.
People spend a lot of time on social media these days, so when they find someone who brings something positive to their lives, they start to see you as a digital friend.
For those just starting, don’t worry too much about being perfect – practice will help you get better over time. Focus on building genuine connections, being consistent, and providing value. Over time, those relationships will grow – and so will your audience.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a content creator, beyond the financial benefits and the privilege of working with amazing companies, is the ability to connect with people from all over the world. It’s incredibly fulfilling when I receive messages from people telling me how my videos, messages, or recommendations have helped them in some way. Knowing that I can bring something positive into someone’s life, even something as simple as making them smile, fills me with joy, and that, for me, is the greatest reward of all.
