We recently connected with Mz. Leebra Clark and have shared our conversation below.
Mz. Leebra, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later?
If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t change a thing about when I started my career as an author. I wouldn’t change the fact that I was initially under a publishing company either. The reason I wouldn’t change any of that is because all of those lessons were impactful on me becoming who I am today as a self-published author.

Mz. Leebra, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am an urban fiction author born and raised in Atlanta, GA. In addition to being an author, I have also dabbled into creating book covers for others as well as maintaining a small t-shirt business.
I don’t have it all figured out and I am not afraid to admit that I am still learning what works and doesn’t work as it relates to finding new readers and expanding my brand. Just bare with me, Mz. Leebra will soon become your next favorite author!

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I’m still in the process of building my social media presence. One thing that I am learning is to stay consistent and stay relevant. I make sure that I post or promote my business at least once a day across all social media platforms. In addition I also try to interact with my followers as much as possible.
I think just being active across all social media platforms will help slowly build a solid following.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My overall goal is to make a living solely from writing my novels and selling my apparel. This is what drives me daily to go harder so that one day I am able to work for myself and make a living from my passions.
