This is a tough question because I have been blessed to have people in my life that have done so many kind things for me that it is hard to name them all. But if I had to choose just one, I would pick an event that happened two years ago. I had just started my photography business about 1 year prior when I was asked to do a lifestyle photoshoot for a coworker’s friend for a magazine. I was very new at this and didn’t have a lot of experience which made me nervous at the outcome of the shoot. Read more>>

The kindest thing anyone can do for me is believe in me. I am very blessed to say I have a loving community of people that trust my vision. However, the person who has supported me the most is my mom. She came here to the states and left behind a giant loving family (she’s one of 12) in search of a better life with me. She faced innumerable obstacles that she could have taken as signs to turn around and go home, but she stayed. Read more>>

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, I had a whole community of family and friends that rallied around me. I can’t say that there is one specific thing that sticks out most in my mind as there were so many things that people jumped in to help with. Meals were brought to my home each week, surgery supplies were donated, fundraisers were done in my honor and benefit, someone came and cleaned my house throughout chemo, another friend and her sister came and did yard work every weekend, Read more>>

The kindest thing someone has ever done for me. Let’s see! I remember being in target shopping for my daughters 1st birthday. I had a basket full of things for her. Food, party Decor etc. after the cashier rang all of my items up the lady behind me paid for all of my things. It literally brought me to tears and I’ll never forget it. She did not know me from Adam or eve and did not have to do that. I was so grateful. I was getting ready to spend my last to give my daughter a great birthday but god sent me an angel. Read more>>

The kindest thing that anyone has done was to Fire me… I was working for a small studio, I was a brand new Instructor, so the other girls had better hours. Once my class became a prime hour favorite & grew in numbers; The owner decided to switch my hours to accommodate someone else. I told her due to my 9-5 job a heads up would have been appreciated, so she cut the music and announced that was my last class. Talk about staying Humble. That moment, as embarrassing as it was, drove me to find my own place and opened my own studio. Read more>>

The kindest thing a person has done for me professionally speaking is “mentioned my name”. When I started I had goals and dreams that I wanted to accomplish and one of them was to design for a very important rodeo. I found out myself very frustrated because it didn’t matter how much effort I put through the years I was not getting where I wanted. Eventually I met a key person in the business. I remember I called her and asked her for a favor since I knew she was very well connected. I asked her to just “mentioned my name” to another person that was key for me to accomplish that dream. She kindly did and I got that opportunity that I’d been dreaming of since I started. Read more>>

The kindest thing someone has ever done for me was when my fiancé purchased me a new laptop for Christmas. It was not the thought of getting something new and shiny but knowing what that meant to me at the time. I was going through a lot during the pandemic, and out of it, I was able to create this page of what I’m interested in on Instagram. I was able to find a community with people who shared similar interests and start an unexpected journey that I have no regrets taking. Read more>>

When I first started out in my legal career, I was mentored by several amazing women, but one in particular has always truly believed in me when I did not believe in myself. To this day, my mentor, Nicki Spritzer, still takes the time to guide me during important life milestones. Between 2005 and 2010, I had been taking on more and more leadership positions in the legal professional trade association world when Nicki nominated me for an award that would blast open many doors and opportunities. I have had a lot of people that have come into my life that have had a tremendous impact on my life, some more than others. Keya Delarge who is one of my BEST friends took me under her wing as a Makeup Artist. She always called me to work with her and even let me work side by side with her on her Clients. She didn’t have to do it, but she did and I’m so grateful to have a friend like her. Read more>>

I missed the train to get to work at the hospital b/c my babysitter ran late and I didn’t want to leave my 4 children home alone. I therefore had to drive into the city with my Minivan and couldn’t find a free parking spot that was large enough. I had to park on a metered spot that was only timed for 2 hours. I thought I could quickly run out after 2 hours of work and re-feed the meter for the next 2. Read more>>
