Social media can be a really powerful way to connect with and build deeper relationships with your audience – but it can be extremely time consuming. So, we asked some folks we admire to share how they manage their social profiles and whether they’ve hired professionals to help.

I manage my own social media accounts, I am my business and I am my brand, so it only makes sense to me to be the one behind every post, every advice, and every story I post on my social media. It’s hard sometimes and navigating a coherent balance where you want to be consistent to grow your audience but also be truthful to yourself and the story you are telling, can be tricky at times. Being a consumer myself of different social media platforms I can see how the natural and more organic, non planned out content can catch your attention 10 times more then a post with organized information, and don’t get me wrong I love those too, Read more>>

I manage my own social media but it has its ups and downs. The pros are definitely that I can change anything I want at any time and that I feel I can put my own personal flair (music, hashtags, captions, etc.) on posts to make them more appealing to my audience. But the cons…….. I am actually at a point where I HATE SOCIAL MEDIA! I have never liked the fact that we are in the times of seeing is believing, perception is everything, and that if you don’t post it, it never happened. Keeping up with it can be a hassle and, I’ll admit, I’ve gone weeks without posting anything because I was either too busy doing other things or it just wasn’t at the forefront of my mind. The need to thrive on social media is something that has touched almost every industry to today’s society. I currently manage my own social media but do see the need to soon start bringing in a team to help out. Social media has given our company the opportunity to share our majestic breed with groups of people that we would never have interacted with otherwise. It gives us the opportunity to educate about our breed, showcase our dogs and puppies as well as allows us to interact with others who are passionate about Cane Corso. Read more>>

I graduated from the University of Houston with a Communications degree, through my experience at school I got very familiar with Social Media platforms. With that being said, I run my shop’s social media from Tiktok and Pinterest to Facebook and Instagram. I have spent countless hours watching tutorial videos in order to slowly familiarize myself with the best editing apps. I would say in the future it would be nice to have a marketing team, but at the moment I think I am doing pretty well following trends on my own! Read more>>

I manage my own company, I first started off by posting my photos online on my personal Instagram and one of my friends encouraged me to post my photos online publicly. I was skeptical at first but went for it anyway back in November 2020 around when covid hit. My social media page is very random, I like to post photos of what I enjoy or what I think is photogenic. In a way, it’s how I see the beauty in place, items, and people. Read more>>

I handle my own social media. I utilize tools like Canva. The tool allows me to create, schedule, save time and money by using the tool as a catch all for my own social media needs for my top 4 channels. I also teach others how to use the tool and create brand kits as well. Read more>>

Even though I do have an assistant to help with my administrative duties, I still am very active in the management of my account and it’s interaction with brands and establishments, and in particular when it comes time to execute a campaign. I am in contact personally with the companies that I work with. I’m on the phone all the time. Read more>>

My store thrives on word-of-mouth recommendations and glowing social network reviews from customers and critics. Our shop got off the ground 24 years ago with a shaky start. We had little money and no store operational experience. Twenty-four years later we are extremely popular across the country and overseas. We learned that retailing old, back-issue comic books was, and is, a vibrant, popular hobby and potent business platform. Read more>>

Since I work primarily in social media, this is probably the topic that is the best fit for me. I’ve been blogging for 15 years on two different sites, so I’ve seen a lot of trends come and go and a lot of changes in social media. I think a lot of people disregard social media or focus on the wrong things, which I think is a mistake because even with the changes that have happened, it’s still your best chance to drive traffic to your website or business.
