We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Justin Augustin. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Justin below.
Justin, appreciate you joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
So, typically in the event space industry, most of the time is used for birthdays, grad parties, get-togethers, corporate meetings, baby showers, gender reveals, and meeting space. The difference we have in our event space is that it’s a multifunctional space that can be used for content creation and full media production, but also at the same time be used for the typical event space needs.
What we have learned is that the event space industry is more than just about events it’s an area where creativity and imagination come to light. The reason is that one day, a person can be hosting a podcast, and the next day they can be hosting a paint-and-sip event. The options are limitless.
Finally, in today’s content-driven era, we have a media, content, and marketing portion of the business that allows small business owners to get help creating content, strategizing, and creating a plan to market their specific products to their audiences.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Creators Village is a family-owned business founded by Hans Augustin, Justin Augustin, Lameka Augustin, Said Gaida, Sue-Ann Gaida. We call it “The village” because it takes a village to raise someone, and it takes a village to build a business.
Creators Village Event Space, founded in the summer of 2022, is a 1,200 sq. ft. facility that serves as a multifunctional event space.
The reason it is called Creators Village is because it takes a village to make something great, and it also takes creators to bring a space to life. We value every person who comes through our doors, whether they are hosting an event, podcast, video shoot, paint & sip, film, birthday, poetry night, artist release event, creating content, or a photo shoot. The list goes on. Creators Village is a space where versatility, diversity, and innovation thrive.
Within our space, we offer a wide range of options to fit each person’s event needs, and even if we don’t have it specifically, we know someone who does.
Some things we are proud of include helping people celebrate special moments such as children’s birthdays and gender reveals, having celebrities use the space for production, educating the public on financial literacy, and allowing families to celebrate so many meaningful occasions.
We hope one day we can celebrate a special moment with you as well.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Most recently, we made a pivot in the business to add services that better fit the current needs of our clients, as well as bringing more members onto our team.
This pivot has been important because there is a significant difference between working in the business and working on the business.
Working in the business means handling day-to-day tasks such as setup, cleanup, staging, and content creation.
Working on the business, however, is what truly drives growth. This includes activities like creating marketing plans, reconciling the books, managing sales, generating new leads, and executing business strategies.
The problem we encountered was that this isn’t the only business we run, so we weren’t able to dedicate as much time to it, which led to results we didn’t want.
Now, we’ve started implementing a system and organization, and we’ve added team members who can focus more on working in the business, allowing us to handle more of the backend operations to help the business grow.
Additionally, as mentioned earlier, we’ve added content, marketing, and media services to meet some of the market’s needs and adapt to where the world is heading. In today’s modern era, attention and content are the currency, and that’s what we’re working to continue building.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What sets us apart is our personality, attention to detail, cleanliness, customer appreciation, and versatility.
Personality: We are very sociable people who have interacted with a wide range of individuals throughout our lives. This allows us to engage in conversations with diverse groups of people and often relate with personal experiences that match what they’re discussing.
Cleanliness: We ensure that the photos you see match the reality when you visit. We keep the space spotless, ensure it smells pleasant, stay up to date with maintenance, and even repaint from time to time to make sure the walls remain pristine white.
Customer Appreciation: We believe that customers are the driving force behind any business. Without them, a business is nothing. That’s why we like to go the extra mile. For example, if someone requests 25 chairs, we might provide 30-35 because we understand that things can happen during an event, and it’s better to retain a customer than charge extra for a few additional chairs.
Versatility: We offer a range of services, making us a one-stop shop for all of your needs. If you want to book a video shoot, we have an in-house videographer, lighting, and production equipment, so everything is handled in-house rather than outsourced. Additionally, we offer event decoration options tailored to your preferences.
