We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Francesca Rodriguez Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Francesca below.
Francesca, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you’re open to it, can you talk to us about the best (or worst) investment you’ve made. What’s the backstory and the relevant context behind why you made the investment
The best thing I ever invested in was myself. For so many years I had a radio broadcast career working for huge conglomerates but I always invested in my brand and in myself. In that process, I learned quickly that I wanted to own my own business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I worked in radio broadcasting for a number of years which taught me a lot about marketing and essentially running my own business.
My company YoChecka, has now morphed into a multimedia digital marketing company all about healthy mindset, hustle and branding through your heart health and pocketbook. We’ve grown major community relationships with Big Brother Big sister of Atlanta, American Red Cross, the American diabetes association, and Susan G. Koman.
I’ve been on numerous panels to speak about entrepreneurship, marketing yourself on social media, and women in media. I have taught and trained hundreds of participants through youth programs on journalism and digital literacy in many communities.
I have a podcast, cookbook, and course called “Snapback Journey”
The podcast is on Spotify, Iheartradio, itunes, Tunein app, and all your major podcasting platforms. Take a listen https://www.yochecka.com/snapback-journey-podcast/
I have most recently designed a course to SNAPBACK your life, mainly to help women work on a healthy mindset, hustle, and building a brand. However, I’ve most recently taken on companies and organizations in helping to grow their brand. You can learn more on yochecka.com
The Snapback Journey cookbook is all about my struggle while I was pregnant with gestational diabetes and went through my snapback journey with my second child. It relates to the course by helping to build a healthy mindset through struggles or barriers. I also am a big advocate of eating healthy to build a healthy mindset. So the food options and recipes really help with that. The recipes are delicious carb-controlled pescatarian recipes! If you take the course you get a free cookbook otherwise you can purchase the book on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Snapback-Journey-Cookbook-pescatarian-gestational-ebook/dp/B097WY1RJ5/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2UEXZRSUQP0ME&keywords=snapback+journey+cookbook&qid=1657773321&sprefix=snapback+journey%2Caps%2C94&sr=8-1
The ultimate problem I solve is how to help women snap back from issues in their lives and grow or discover their brand. I think what truly sets me apart is my background in radio as a talent. My ability to relate to clients and be very personable with them is totally unmatched. I have so many ideas but I also execute those ideas. I am not afraid to try new things and encourage my clients to try new strategies or approaches that can take their brand or business to the next level. I am very honest by default and I like to keep it as real as possible with my clients. I have experience working with major brands, and celebrities and have a large network that can help my clients grow their brands.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I think in everyone’s life they will have to pivot in their careers to truly find their purpose in their journey. I have had to pivot a few times in my career on numerous levels. But those pivots really helped me grow my branding skills. Those pivotal moments are just you growing and changing as a person. You have to find the connection between your new career or job to your old one. You can also say from the old you to the new you! That is truly the essence of Snapback Journey and why I came up with it. Essentially I thought my snapback was to lose weight when I first had a baby but I really discovered that it was to find my new self and brand that person by telling her story to encourage and motivate other women to do the same. Now I will say these struggles and pivotal moments are not easy and can truly be painful but they are all worth the peace of mind and balance in the end.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
So one of the modules in my course is all about how to manage your social media presence and I’d be glad to talk about it. One of the things I had to do when growing my social media was stay consistent, schedule/manage it, and truly not hold back on what the brand means. In those moments of pivoting, I had to change strategies while growing my social platform. I think people get wrapped up in numbers and worry about that waaay too much. You can partner with all kinds of businesses on social media that care more about an organic audience. It truly is all about being consistent and constantly sharing your story and your truth. Of course, you have to manage it and plan out your week or month. Utilizing each platform for exactly what they are for is also extremely important. Most importantly, social media is very time-consuming, so you really only want to take on as much as you can handle.
