We were lucky to catch up with Devra Lindsay recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Devra thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
A moment that shifted the course of my life’s journey and would forever change the direction of my path was the day in 1994 I was at a health fair at The Houstonian Club. There I met an individual that would become my greatest mentor. This was the day I met Dr. DicQie Fuller, author of “The Healing Power of Enzymes,” founder of Transformation Enzyme Corporation, and a pioneer of enzyme therapy and Biochemical Individualism, one of the few science-based body typing. This day changed my overall health and my life’s path direction into a whole new career.
Twenty-seven years later, a profoundly defining moment in my life was Saturday, October 9th, 2021. I was invited to attend Transformation Enzymes Corporation 30 years celebration at the Omni Hotel in Houston. That evening was an awards dinner where I was humbled to receive “The Fuller Journey Award. A lifetime dedicated to the improvement of oneself and a desire to help improve others.” This day was my greatest honor. On Sunday, October 10th Dr. DicQie Fuller spread her glorious wings and made her passage to heaven’s realms. I am profoundly grateful and blessed to have been touched by the spirit of such an extraordinary soul. Dr. Fuller, I celebrate and honor you every day as I share with our precious clients your journey and work as a pioneer of the importance of plant-based enzymes & Biochemical Individualism. The difference your work has made for our clients brings tears to their eyes as they finally have the answers they have been searching for on their wellness journey. They are so grateful to you, as am I.
“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. They stay in our lives for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.”
Life is so very precious and sometimes too short. Don’t let another moment go by to thank the people in your life that have touched the spirit of your soul.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
I have been asked the same question countless times. How did you find yourself in the unique profession as a colon hydrotherapist? My response: “because it saved my life and became my life’s work and ministry….”
Admittedly, I did not have this vocation on my radar! When something or someone has a profound impact on your life’s journey, it can change the direction of your very path, and it did and still is today.
Someone once said to me: “You have a story to share that can change the life of another.” Those words have never left my heart. You see, I believe that we are all each other’s teachers. We all have a story to share that is way bigger than just ourselves. When we share our story, which changes the life of another human being, we have just touched the heart of another soul.
My journey began the day that I said hello to the world. You see, I was allergic to my mother’s breast milk. Which if a mother can provide this for their child, is so very important for establishing a strong digestive and immune system response as they grow. That would lead to many food sensitivities, allergies to mother nature and fabrics, and acute and chronic constipation.
I was in and out of the hospital searching for answers, only to be told there were none. At this point, my elimination process was weekly. As I grew older in my teens and 20s, I was eliminating once per month. Eliminating once a month is not life sustainable without health challenges, period!
And now we have arrived at the day in 1994 that would forever change the course of my life’s journey. That was the day I met my greatest mentor, Dr. DicQie Fuller, at a health fair at the Houstonian Club. She provided an assessment for me known as biochemical individualism, her science-based body typing. A specific measurement placed me into one of four biochemical types. Not only did I finally understand what I should and shouldn’t be eating, but I was also provided with insight into an over-stimulated gland from the endocrine system, my thyroid, that had been causing health challenges for me for years. No other testing was able to determine this until now. Importantly, one of the genetic predispositions for the biochemical group that I was in was constipation. Finally, I received the answers I had been searching for, for so long.
I started taking Dr. Fuller’s plant-based digestive enzymes and probiotics from Transformation Enzyme Corporation. She gave me her phone number that day. Two days later, I called her. It was very emotional for me over the phone. I was crying tears of joy because I had only been on her enzymes for a few days and noticed such a dramatic difference in my energy and overall health and well-being. I was in my young 30s, recognizing that I had not been feeling well for all of these early years of my life and believing that this was just as good as it gets. And that is not true. The body was designed to thrive, not just survive, and there are way too many people out there that are silently suffering, searching for answers.
Through my tears, I thanked her and told her that the enzymes were a miracle. Here is what Dr. Fuller spoke to me: “The miracle is in how wondrously designed we are, that when we give the body the right tools that it needs and clear away the waste, it can manage its resources.” On that day, Dr. Fuller would also refer me to a colon hydro-therapist, where I would begin a series of colon hydrotherapy sessions that would take me from my elimination process of once a month to every day after every meal, which is exactly as it should be. Colon hydrotherapy and Dr. Fuller’s science-based body typing & enzyme therapy changed my life, and I knew my path was headed in a completely different and unexpected direction. My life and my health were forever changed, and I wanted to bless others in the same way that Dr. Fuller blessed me on that day.
In 1999 Devra and her husband Adam, of 28 years, would acquire a colon hydrotherapy practice and grow it into being recognized as one of the largest centers in the United States utilizing HYDRO-SAN PLUS closed gravity flow systems. And the unique foundation that sets us apart and brings it all together is our BioDézyne Wellness & Detox Programs and Dr. Fuller’s Science-Based Body Typing. (biochemical individualism)
Pathways to Health colon-hydrotherapy care and Dr. Fuller’s science-based body typing analysis allows us to support our clients with one of their most significant challenges; their unhappy digestive system.
We hear this daily; “I feel bloated. I’m constipated. I’m not sure what I should and shouldn’t be eating? I’ve tried every diet, and my choices don’t seem to be working. I no I’m not feeling the best I could be and I’m so frustrated.”
Here is where we start at Pathways. First, if our client is a candidate, we begin with the process of Colon Hydrotherapy which is a safe, modest, effective method for cleansing the colon of waste material, keeping your cells healthy, and improving whole-body wellbeing.
And then, with Dr. Fuller’s body typing analysis and the specific measurement, we will be able to identify which one of the four biochemical types you are.
Biochemical Individualism is the science of how your body shape relates to the differing needs for basic digestive enzymes. Every individual falls into one of four unique Biochemical Types. The four body types are Para, Estro/Testro, Supra and Neuro.
Each of the four Biochemical Types is born with specific traits such as the way they are shaped, their typical food cravings, and common symptoms resulting from a specific over-stimulated endocrine gland, as well as the powerful energy and drive they feel when they are in balance.
Your body uses enzymes to break down fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Your unique biochemical type reveals the connection between your body shape, food cravings, and enzyme deficiencies.
Once we determine which one of the four Biochemical Types you are, you’ll finally understand what you should and shouldn’t be eating. With the right nutrients, specific plant-based enzymes, and detox protocols, we can customize a wellness program to support you on your journey of what you deserve most, “The Healthiest You.”
“Our Belief is simple. Give the body the nutrients it needs, clear away the waste, and allow your body to manage its resources.”
Everyone here takes pride in our reputation of providing you with continuing education, support, and extraordinary personalized care. We Are “Therapists with Heart!”
“Good health is not an unobtainable privilege meant to be savored only by the fortunate. Rather, it is a right that should be enjoyed by anyone who is willing to take the time to learn how to take care of his or her own body.”
– Dr. DicQie Fuller

I believe as human beings; our paths can often lead us to unexpected places. We walk through life, from one stepping stone to another, making choices. With each challenge, we learn and grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Sometimes we walk, other times we run, and still others, we may change direction. With trust and faith, we move forward in search of wholeness of mind, body, and health to become the best version of ourselves.
Although the road traveled has not always been smooth, and the struggles along the way have been challenging at times. I wouldn’t change any of these experiences, for these life moments have become a beacon to guide me to my true path and most significant purpose in life; to always & forever pay forward “The Brilliant Torch of Dr. DicQie Fuller’s Knowledge.”
