Chris, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

Brotherz Outdoorz is a dream that I had for many years. Brotherz Outdoorz was formed by me with the help of my brothers, Ronne’ and Billy Adkins. I used Z’s in Brotherz Outdoorz because of the neighborhood that we are from. We are from the Whitehaven community in Memphis, TN and it is affectionately known as the BHZ (Black Haven Zone). I never want to forget how far we have come and where we come from, and that is why the name of the company is Brotherz Outdoorz.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My journey into this industry started with my love for cooking, and the Great Outdoors. It is something that’s been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been an outdoorsman, and from a young age, my Mom instilled in me and my siblings the importance of preparing food with care and using the right seasonings. This influence shaped my love for flavor and cooking, and that eventually inspired me to turn that passion into a business.

At Brotherz Outdoorz, we specialize in offering high-quality seasonings that elevate cooking, whether you’re grilling at home or cooking at a campsite. I’ve spent years perfecting my own seasoning blends, each crafted to enhance the flavor of meats, vegetables, and any dish cooked over an open flame or grill. What sets my products apart is the authenticity behind them—they aren’t just something I created to sell. These are the same seasonings I use when I cook for my family and friends, and they’re inspired by real outdoor and grilling experiences.

In addition to the products I offer, I also run a YouTube channel called Brotherz Outdoorz, where I upload content focused on cooking, hunting, and fishing. The channel is a great way for me to share not only my passion for outdoor cooking but also my love for the outdoors in general. Whether it’s grilling tips, hunting expeditions, or fishing trips, I want to inspire others to enjoy nature and the great meals you can create in it.

I’m proud to say that Brotherz Outdoorz offers more than just products. We’re here to solve a problem that many outdoor cooks face: how to bring restaurant-quality flavor to outdoor cooking without the fuss. My seasonings are designed to be easy to use, yet they deliver bold and complex flavors that you’d expect from a top-tier pit master. They’re versatile, too, whether you’re using them for grilling, roasting, or even everyday cooking in your kitchen.

What makes Brotherz Outdoorz truly unique is that it’s rooted in authenticity. I’m not just selling seasonings—I’m sharing a piece of my outdoor lifestyle with my customers. As someone who lives for being outdoors and mastering the grill, I want to provide others with the tools to enjoy that same experience, whether they’re seasoned pros or just getting started.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about the future of Brotherz Outdoorz. I’m working on expanding our product line to offer more than just seasonings. The goal is to create a full range of products that make outdoor living and cooking even more enjoyable, from grilling tools to outdoor gear. I’m committed to maintaining the same level of quality and craftsmanship that we’re known for.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

My most effective strategy to growing my business has been partnering with Delta Legends as my product distributor. Thanks to this partnership, Brotherz Outdoorz seasonings is in many grocery stores in the South East US and we are looking to expand to more states.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

My journey has been incredibly rewarding, but it hasn’t always been a smooth road. There have been several challenges along the way that have tested my resilience and determination.
One of the major struggles was balancing my passion for outdoor adventures with the demands of daily life. Whether it was school, work, or family commitments, finding time to dedicate to my outdoor pursuits was often a challenge. There were times when I had to make tough choices and sacrifices to keep pursuing my passion.
Starting the Brotherz Outdoorz YouTube channel came with its own set of challenges. The learning curve for creating and editing high-quality content was steep, and there were moments of frustration when things didn’t turn out as planned. Building an audience from scratch required persistence and patience, as it took time for the channel to gain traction.
Launching my spice and seasoning company was another significant hurdle. From sourcing the right ingredients to creating unique blends that would resonate with outdoor enthusiasts, the process was filled with trial and error. There were financial risks involved, and navigating the business side of things was a new and sometimes daunting experience.
