Jakia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Cooking has always been a passion for me I used to make dinners in my apartment kitchen then decided to make it a career. I started participating in different pop up events to get my name out there and then created different social media platforms. Next I had to do some research to legalize everything and thats when I filed for my llc, insurance, business account info ect. Through word of mouth and social media referrals started to come in
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I post a-lot of budget meals and easy to follow recipes as well as cater for small to big events. I started to cook alongside my mom when I was younger and took it more seriously when I got my first apartment. Now at 30 I professionally took on the role as a chef and is dedicated to providing top tier ingredients and delicious food to your event.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My advise is to keep posting with no expectations. Sometimes even if its not planned content I’ll just post what im eating for dinner what im ordering for takeout don’t matter just post it. You never know who page you’ll come across that may be your next customer.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When covid happened its like the world was on hold but social media kept flowing. Social media is the most underrated form of advertisment that you have to keep going, so while at home I just kept recording recording and recording letting stillness come full circle.
