Cindiley, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I believe that success is a combination of so many things put together. First you must have clear goals, a vision, passion and purpose, this is knowing your WHY, the reason for why you want to do something; having clear, realistic, and meaningful goals help guide your actions and decisions. Then comes discipline and consistency, success isn’t given over night it’s earned through action over time, as long as you stay focused and committed even when you have no motivation. You must have adaptability, you will fail and make so many mistakes but having the ability to learn from those mistakes and adjust changes along with staying flexible, will ground you. Success also means being resilient and having perseverance, this is where one needs to stay positive and push through any setbacks, challenges, etc. believing in yourself 100% is a huge key factor. The learning never stops, you need to stay curious, open-minded, and willing to improve.
It takes a lot from yourself to be successful but it’s not impossible. As much as you work on yourself though, I also think it is very important to build strong relationships and networking. Success is achieved when you have a strong support system, where you can learn from other people and they can learn from you. Being involved in your community will help guide the path for you.
I learned all of this going through my college career. As a first-generation student you are not taught any of this. I had a clear goal and I knew my why so I changed many things in my life to achieve what I wanted and go above and beyond. I was involved with my school and my community, where they presented me with so many opportunities that have led me to where I am now. But all of this came because I was consistent and I had the discipline I needed and most importantly because I believed in myself and I had faith in God. Your dreams don’t work unless you do.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a first generation Latina graduate from the University of Colorado Denver. I hold a bachelors in Criminal Justice and a bachelors in Public Service. I provide many services and creative work. Im a legal advocate, a promotional model/brand ambassador, a public notary for the state of Colorado, and a social media content creator.
I do many different things in many different areas of service and I enjoy it all! I love learning and i’m always looking for ways to expand my skills to do more. Im also always willing to collaborate and teach other people the skills that I know. I love being the person that maybe myself, my parents, my friends, etc. once needed.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I like to say I am a huge bookworm, I love to expand my knowledge and heal through books. My number one all time favorite book is Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins This book transformed my life by challenging me to confront my mental and physical limits. Goggins shares his extraordinary life story, emphasizing how he turned immense adversity—poverty, racism, and abuse—into personal growth by cultivating an unbreakable mindset. Through his “calloused mind” concept, the book inspired me to push beyond self-imposed boundaries, embrace discomfort, and pursue excellence. It offered me practical insights on developing mental resilience, self-discipline, and the courage to take on life’s toughest challenges, making it a motivational blueprint for unlocking my true potential.
My next top book would have to be The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. This book has offered a deep, strategic understanding of power dynamics in both personal and professional settings. It outlines timeless principles drawn from historical figures and events, providing insights into how power is gained, maintained, and lost. Each law, such as mastering one’s emotions, creating mystery, or outsmarting opponents, encouraged me to think critically about my interactions and ambitions. While some laws may be seen as controversial, the book has definitely helped me navigate complex social hierarchies and develop sharper instincts for achieving influence, success, and control over my circumstances.
Another top book that I would like to mention is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. This book changed my life by teaching me the principles of success through the power of mindset and focused determination. Based on interviews with successful figures like Andrew Carnegie and Thomas Edison, the book outlined how thoughts shape reality and how a burning desire for a goal, combined with faith, persistence, and practical action, can lead to wealth and achievement. It encouraged me to develop self-discipline, overcome fears, and build positive habits that foster success. Hill’s timeless principles really expanded my personal growth, goal-setting, and the belief that I can achieve all of my dreams through focused effort, faith and perseverance.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Growing an audience on social platforms involved a mix of consistency, authenticity, and understanding my audience. At first I started by following people around my area and sharing things that I thought were relatable, “cool,” aesthetically pleasing, etc. but It honestly wasn’t all that great. Towards the end of 2023, I kinda wanted to explore what it would be to create more meaningful content which I was honestly influenced by TikTok.
I started by defining my purpose, I asked myself “why am I on social media and what kind of value do I want to offer?” I came to the conclusion that I want to share my expertise on topics such as fitness, law, self love, etc but that I also want to keep my audience entertained! I was already doing promotions for distinct brands but as my socials grew I expanded it to doing promos online as well.
When you are first starting it is important to create content consistently, I was posting almost daily with only 1-2 days off. I offered insights, tips, entertaining content, etc. but building an audience isnt just about broadcasting; it’s about creating conversations. Reply to comments, asking questions, and connecting with your followers on a deeper level. You may also want to analyze and adapt by keeping track of what works by monitoring engagement metrics like likes, shares, comments, and follows. Over time, using this data to refine your content strategy to better resonate with your audience. I joined many support groups which helped to bounce off each others ideas, give advice, etc.
As of right now I have been taking a huge break from promoting, creating content and so on due to some huge projects im focusing on (I will be sharing in the near future), but I am here to say that it is okay to stop for a while because if its meant to be it will be.
For those just starting out, my advice is to be patient. Building a following takes time and effort, I use many different platforms to do this and it is not easy to keep track of everything but with authenticity, consistency, and dedication, you’ll grow an audience that truly connects with you and supports you. That being said I want to thank every single person that has shown support, used my codes, shared my post, or simply referred someone out to me… THANK YOU LOTS!!
