We recently connected with Katie Frondarina and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie, thanks for joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was leaving my role as a manager at a large medical facility without having another job lined up. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew the position was no longer aligning with my personal or professional goals. I was constantly stressed and burnt out, and I knew I deserved more for the hard work I was putting in. I knew I could bring real value to a company that aligned with my goals and appreciated my contributions. Even though I didn’t have a new job secured, I trusted my faith to guide me in the right direction.
Taking that leap of faith allowed me to reassess my goals, focus on self-care, and find balance during a difficult time of unemployment. It wasn’t without its challenges—feelings of doubt, incompetence, and even moments of depression crept in—but patience and mindfulness helped me push through.
Eventually, I found the perfect opportunity: a fully remote position that offers an incredible work-life balance and matches what I was earning before. Not only that, it gave me the freedom to move from Georgia to Colorado, opening up a whole new chapter in my life. Looking back, I’m grateful I took the risk. It taught me that trusting my instincts and embracing uncertainty can lead to opportunities that truly fit who you are. Ultimately, your job doesn’t define you—you hold the power to shape your life.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi, I’m Katie, a fitness enthusiast with a passion for Martial arts, overall health, wellness, and modeling. I’ve always been drawn to activities that challenge me both physically and creatively, which has shaped the work I do today. In the fitness space, I focus on motivating others to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle, while also helping them embrace their authentic selves. Whether it’s through sharing workout routines, tips for staying balanced, or hiking in the mountains, I aim to inspire confidence, self care, and self-expression.
What sets me apart is my holistic approach to wellness. I believe fitness isn’t just about physical strength but also mental resilience and self-love. I incorporate a mix of strength training, martial arts, and mindfulness to help people build a balanced, healthy lifestyle that aligns with their goals. Having worked in a medical facility and now with a company that provides mental health services, I’ve always been driven to help people in ways that go beyond traditional healthcare settings.
During my self-development journey, one of my proudest accomplishments has been helping my mother improve her health. By encouraging her to change her diet, she was able to lose weight and avoid surgery for a GI condition. Being able to support my family in achieving better health has always been incredibly fulfilling for me. For anyone following my work, I want them to know that it’s all about embracing who you are, striving for growth, and finding joy in the process—whether that’s through fitness, creativity, or personal development. You can alway find great deals on fitness, hiking, and beauty essentials on my page.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
My favorite genre has always been self-development books. I make it a point to finish one eBook each month, and the knowledge I’ve gained from them has truly transformed my life for the better.
My Top 5 Books are:
1) Living a Spiritual Life in a Material World – Anna Gatmon
2) You Can Heal Your Life – Louise L. Hay
3) How to Stop Worrying and Start Living – Dave Carnegie
4) The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success – Deepak Chopra
5) Balance – Toure Roberts

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?
Aside from training and knowledge, I believe having a positive attitude and a willingness to learn is key to succeeding in any field. Getting out there and developing skills like self-discipline, work ethic, and customer service is essential for long-term growth. It’s important not to take things personally—by keeping your focus on the bigger picture, you can see that each experience is an opportunity to build skills that will help you thrive, both in the corporate world and beyond. Embrace every challenge as a chance to grow.
