When I started Neshi Designs, the idea came from a deep passion for jewelry and the desire to create something unique that could bring joy and a sense of specialness to others. My family has been in the jewelry business for as long as I can remember, so I’ve always been surrounded by beautiful pieces and the stories behind them. But Neshi was different—it was a reflection of my personal vision and creativity.
The idea first struck me when I was working with my parents in their wholesale business in downtown Los Angeles. I noticed a gap in the market for jewelry that felt both luxurious and personal. I wanted to create pieces that could be worn every day but still make the wearer feel extraordinary. That’s when the concept of Neshi Designs, with its focus on fine, delicate jewelry, really began to take shape.
The first step was turning this idea into a tangible plan. I spent countless hours researching trends in the industry. I knew I wanted to work with high-quality materials, so I started sourcing 14k and 18k gold, diamonds, and freshwater pearls —materials that would set Neshi apart from the beginning.
After solidifying the concept, the next phase was about structure and strategy. I had to figure out how to take my designs from paper to actual pieces. This meant finding the right manufacturers who could bring my designs to life with the precision and quality I envisioned. I also started setting up the legal and business framework, including registering the business, securing trademarks, and setting up Neshi Designs Corp as a sister company to King Plutarco, which specializes in rare Colombian emeralds.
The following months were all about refining the product. I spent time prototyping the designs and gathering feedback. My goal was to create pieces that weren’t just beautiful but also wearable and versatile.
Then came the branding phase, which was a whole new challenge. I wanted Neshi to have a strong identity, so I focused on creating a brand that resonated with the message, “With Neshi, you will always be special.” This meant not just designing jewelry, but also crafting an entire experience around the brand. I worked on the logo, packaging, and the overall aesthetic that would make Neshi stand out in a crowded market.
Launching Neshi Designs was the culmination of all these efforts. It was a mix of excitement and nerves and after a full year I am so excited to announce that I will be introducing the first collection, ‘The Premier Edition,’ to the world in website form very soon.
I had to learn to be flexible, to adapt quickly to feedback, and to continually refine my approach to marketing and customer engagement. The whole process was a journey of turning an idea into reality—one that required creativity, resilience, and a lot of hard work. That’s how Neshi Designs was born, from an idea that grew into a full-fledged business through careful planning, persistence, and a passion for creating something truly special.
