We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Estefania Kröl. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Estefania below.
Estefania, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to engage in meaningful projects within the music and art scenes, collaborating with talented individuals who inspire me to push the boundaries of creativity. As a millennial navigating the complexities of life in 2024, I often find myself grappling with anxiety and the pressures of modern existence. I cherish opportunities to share knowledge and learn from others, as I believe our unique backgrounds shape our perspectives and allow us to express complex emotions through art.
Two projects, in particular, stand out as cornerstones of my journey. The first is an art installation projected onto a historic clock tower in Denver throughout August. This piece invites viewers to pause and reconnect with themselves amidst the chaos of contemporary life. Centered on the theme of breath, it aims to remind people that they can always take a moment to breathe and find grounding, especially when facing the overwhelming challenges that can accompany modern living. The video engages the audience, guiding them through the 4-7-8 breathing technique using pacing, color therapy, and carefully chosen words. The positive feedback from viewers has been incredibly gratifying, as many resonated with the message and found solace in its simplicity. I’m bringing this installation to other cities, so keep an eye out!

The second project is a collaboration with the incomparable Father John Misty for his song “Screamland.” We crafted a seven-minute video using my personal footage captured on my iPhone since moving to LA. This piece explores the duality of life in a city where the shimmering lights of Hollywood coexist with the shadows of broken dreams. It’s a raw, intimate portrayal that reveals the complexities of residing in Los Angeles, showcasing the beauty and horror intertwined in our experiences.
The emotional responses from the audience have been profound, particularly from those who call LA home. This connection affirmed my belief that art can bridge individual experiences, especially for those of us navigating anxiety and uncertainty. Working with Father John Misty was a dream come true; his trust in my vision added depth to the final piece.

Both projects encapsulate my journey as an artist and as a millennial confronting the pressures of life. My hope is to inspire others to breathe, reflect, and discover their own light within darkness. Art is about creating connections—between myself and my audience, between individuals sharing their stories, and between us and the world we inhabit. Through my work, I aim to invite viewers to explore their journeys alongside mine and find beauty and hope even in the most challenging circumstances.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Navigating my life as a creative has been such an amazing ride. I’ve been in the music industry for over a decade now, doing everything from creative directing and music video directing to designing and even writing as a music journalist. I even managed a rock band for a few years, so I’ve really immersed myself in the art and creativity that comes with music.
All of this led me to start Krölhaus, a creative house where I get to team up with a fantastic network of talented people. We take projects from start to finish, mainly in the music industry but branching out into other areas too. We’re super excited to be designing for this new, incredibly amazing jewelry brand that’s just around the corner!
We’ve worked with some big names, like Hollywood Vampires, where I handled the creative side for their 2023 tour featuring legends like Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. We’re also collaborating with cool artists like Cyber, an OG in the goth rap scene who’s been around since the days of XXXTentacion and Lil Peep. Plus, we’ve teamed up with bands like The Killers and Maroon 5.
While I have my own art as Estefanía, including pieces outside of music, Krölhaus is all about bringing creative ideas to life in a fresh, minimalistic, and poetic way. It’s all about collaboration and making cool stuff happen!
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I think the best way to grow our clientele is to focus on delivering a high-quality product. In a place like LA, where everyone is talking and trying to sell something, actions speak louder than words. There’s a lot of noise out there, and I believe the only way to stand out is to put in the work, hard work.
We need to deliver on time, create top-notch products, and sprinkle in a personal touch. It’s all about being genuine and not just surfing the same wave as everyone else. That’s basically my motto!
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson I’ve had to unlearn comes from how I was shaped as a kid in Argentina. Growing up, the message was clear: focus on your studies, get a good job, and find success in a traditional career. My upbringing was steeped in the belief that a stable job was the ultimate goal, and anything outside that path was viewed as risky or unconventional. In my family and the social circles I navigated, pursuing a career in art or creativity was often seen as a strange choice, one that lacked the security and respect of more conventional professions.
As I moved through my teenage years and into young adulthood, this mindset reinforced a sense of anxiety and pressure. I felt I had to conform to a specific standard of success, which often led to feelings of dissatisfaction and unfulfillment. It wasn’t until I started exploring my own passions that I realized there are multiple paths to fulfillment. Embracing my creativity and recognizing the value of following my instincts has been a journey, but it’s shown me that I can build my own life and career on my terms.
This process of unlearning has helped me appreciate the importance of flexibility and self-expression, especially in the artistic realm where there’s so much room for interpretation and personal flair. I’m learning to let go of perfectionism and to embrace the bumps in the road as part of my unique journey.
