We were lucky to catch up with She-ra Renee recently and have shared our conversation below.
She-Ra, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I would like to build a legacy that surpasses what I do while I’m alive. After I’m gone, I want people to take the lessons that I’ve taught through coaching and podcasting and apply them to their everyday lives. I want to be remembered for how I made people feel not only by the things I’ve said.
I want people to make better decisions on how they show up in life for the people around them as well as themselves. I want people to make better decisions concerning their mental health and I want them to be free in their minds and not allow people, places and things to continue to weight them down.
I want my legacy to be filled with transformative stories about how I helped them tap into who it is God has designed them to be and I want my legacy to be talked about for years to come through my content and products.

She-Ra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is SheRa Renee and I am the host of the Blemished Beauty Podcast. I am also a life coach and have a passion for seeing others transform their lives from where they are to where God has called them to be. I started my podcast during my healing journey and being a former fan of writing I decided to capture my thoughts audially. The podcast has been running for four seasons now and has now transformed into mental health topics.
During my podcasting journey, I decided to take my certification to become a life coach and now I get to help others transform their minds from being stuck to free. I have created journals for all ages because writing is a key component in expressing yourself as well as allowing you to see how far you have come.
I believe what sets me apart from others in my field is passion and experience. I talk about my experience in my podcast and my passion is felt throughout my episodes. I thrive on creating a safe space for others to express themselves and own their scars. I really believe that we were created by God to be a help one to another.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to help someone avoid the mistakes I’ve made. I explain all the things that I’ve faced in my podcast episodes and give my listeners a chance to see the growth of where I’ve come from in real time. I believe the world needs more genuine and vulnerable content and this is what I provide with my episodes and my coaching.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My podcast and coaching business are stemmed from my last divorce. Divorce is a hard thing to go through and before things were finalized, I started my healing journey as a single mother, working two jobs and doing everything on my own, Now I have managed to work one job, host a podcast, and become an author several journals and a color book with many things on the way.
I had to pivot from the life I was use to and shift into the life that I was currently in, and it was not easy. I am the type of person who likes to have my life planned from A to Z and I have to shift that mindset and conquer one letter at a time. This made my life a little less hectic and allowed me to cover more ground without getting overwhelmed.
