We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Pablo Borges a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Pablo, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

Pp12Sports started in 2020 during the COVID 19 Pandemic, I was at home and thinking about creating something new, I always played soccer with Brazilian friends in Atlanta and Metro atlanta, so I had the idea of ​​​​starting to film our games to create content on the Internet so that people who are in Brazil can see what soccer is like between friends here in the United States.

Pablo, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Aa Pp12Sports is a sports Media Outlet where we make content for Brazilians who stand out in soccer and other sports in the United States, in 2022 I entered the Mercedes Benz Stadium to cover Atlanta United in Portuguese for Brazilians fãs living in the United States and Brazil. In this year of 2024 I had the opportunity to work a week in the preparation of the Brazilian team for COPA AMÉRICA in Orlando FL, then I had the opportunity to work with great idols that I only saw on TV, soon after I also worked for FC Série in the Manchester City x Barcelona game, I was very happy in the summer of this year with so many opportunities, but the one I was happiest with was being able to photograph MESSI in the match between Atlanta United x Inter Miami, Messi is one of the greatest idols in soccer and being able to work in the same environment as him was something surreal for me !

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

When I started I was very excited when I saw great idols up close and I was euphoric to take selfie with them , but when you are a professional you have to contain yourself because we are all there to work, this part is only for the fans.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?

I have a good Portfolio so this has helped me to showcase some of my work to get more clients like professional players, young people who play for Universities and also some soccer schools for children!
