We were lucky to catch up with Maeve De Voe recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Maeve, thanks for joining us today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later?
I believe everything in my life has lead me to this one moment.
I’ve always known since I was little that this was my destiny, even wearing tiaras every day back then like I do now. I decided to start pursuing making music in 2015 at the age of 13, where I’d write lyrics and make original songs on GarageBand. I’d work devotedly with the notion that this was my one and only life path. In 2018, I decided to start college at the age of 15 to train my voice classically, so that my vocal talent and my music could elevate to a higher level. When spring 2020 arrived, I saw this as my opportunity to take a break from school, and fully dive into my dream career. I’d produce and work on originals almost daily, and start promoting myself online as the next big thing. In 2021, I became a princess full-time, began my journey of princess fashion that I have now, along with working endlessly on preparing for my debut.
July 2021 I released my debut song “I’m Different”, my very first song I created back in 2015, and began promoting myself. It wouldn’t be until May 2022 that I would become officially The World’s First Princess Pop Star. From then on, with perfect timing in my life, I was ready to work more than 12 hours a day and chase every dream I’ve ever had.
I was on the trajectory to start much later with my career. If I had not left high school in 2017, I would’ve graduated in 2020, and without college training, I’d be pushed back to possibly 2022 as my raw beginning. So, around 2024, I’d be where I was in 2022.
If I had started my career in 2017, like I wished for, I would’ve been heavily underdeveloped in skill and music production. At that time, I didn’t even know what I wanted to look like, so it was more of a passionate dream of my future.
I wouldn’t change anything about what I’ve experienced. Although we got through pain sometimes, it’s all for a reason, and it gave me the titanium strength I have now. I was created to be the Princess Pop Star, and I was meant to start at this exact moment in time.

Maeve, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Maeve De Voe, the World’s First Princess Pop Star with a mission to “Make The World Smile!”.
Achieving 110+ weeks on Top 20 charts in London, NYC, Toronto, and more in my first 2 years, landing myself on 400+ radio stations in 120+ countries, I enchant thousands with hit original and cover singles in multiple genres. I’m the mixer, lyricist, recording engineer, and my own manager! I’m a one-girl show! Wearing a tiara every single day with my signature peach hair, my dream is to be the ambassador of smiles to the world. I wish to make global change: connecting people all over the world to each other with their love of music, no matter the language. I work to be a role model to girls and women, along with creating a fun and positive environment for my fans.
I’ve achieved three #1 hit songs in 8 months, and recently won a trophy at the ISSA Awards 2024 for “USA Female Emerging Artist”. I’ve trained my voice and technique for 13 years, as well as studying music theory at the University of Miami Frost School of Music at age 14. I have trained in musical theatre for 13 years as well, and have performed in over 20 shows, sometimes performing multiple productions at once. I also won the Texas Teen Talent competition at age 14.
I double my time as a pop star with following my childhood dream of being a scientist: in the summer of 2023, I became an online Harvard student studying meteorology and neuroscience. Everything you see on social media and for my career is created by me! I handle all legalities, promo, management, and content. I can sing in 12 languages, have a 4 octave range, I’m currently writing 14 books, and I’m always staying active posting and interacting with my fans online!
Let’s be smile ambassadors together, and Make The World Smile!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I get to make people smile for a living.
With my music, I get to make people feel something or think about a creative concept. I want to be a warm hug or a burst of confetti through the speakers when people listen to my music. When people talk to me, they speak of how they catch themselves smiling more, start chasing their biggest dreams, become more creative, or just in general notice they’re not conforming to boundaries they used to live in. It’s a sort of freedom I’m trying to give the world. Even just one person becoming more happy and passionate for life is all I wish for.
I’ve also started to see and receive messages about girls wearing tiaras because of me. This makes me joyous! Girls becoming more confident in princess fashion and wearing a tiara out of the house is a huge dream of mine to spark. I’m so happy I could inspire someone.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I’m showing the world something they’ve never seen as a real person.
Although I’m quite reserved and humble, I do understand that I stand out a bit. I wear princess clothes full-time, a tiara everywhere I go, and have long pastel peach hair. I make content and photoshoots in my at-home studio, as well as release high quality covers often. I do collaborations with other indie artists, get involved in indie communities and award shows, as well as have music mixing/engineering commissions open! I try and stay active on social media, keeping my social media accounts relatively on one theme to solidify my brand.
