We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Cyerrah Savage. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Cyerrah below.
Cyerrah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think it takes time and consistency. I believe the harder you work at your goals the more fruitful it will be in the end or later on down the line. It takes a lot of self discipline especially as a business owner. You can be successful from something u have no interest in but is it really rewarding in the end versus something u put thought and dedication into and u genuinely love? Makeup is not a hobby it’s my passion and my career! I see other opportunity inside the community versus just being the person in front of the chair that I would like to explore! It takes knowing you can fail and will fail but it’s about how you get up and continue to move forward. My success is dependent on me to bring me my success so I have to stay confident, persistent, and obedient to get there.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a Professional Makeup Artist located in the Dallas-FortWorth area. I got into the industry in 2021. I have always had a passion for makeup but it took me until June 2021 to pursue my career as a makeup artist. I love the business and the creative aspect behind it. I love I have the freedom to express my creativity through others and not just on myself. There is a thrill you get from seeing how beautiful your work is on others and the fact that it is being seen by hundreds of more people every time someone leaves my chair keeps me going. To learn the craft consists of discipline and structure. You have to have structure for you and your potential and returning clients. You have to create systems that are easy to access and to use for your clients and other systems to keep yourself organized on the backend. It takes a lot to run a business but its worth seeing the difference u can make on someone just by one interaction with you. I have a lot of makeup girlies who book an appointment just to come vent to me because they know their secrets with me are sacred. That alone shows loyalty and gives me acknowledgment that what i’m doing is not just a technique but a gift to be able to touch other women who come to me. When they leave my chair I give them confidence and I uplift their spirits because they feel beautiful. I offer full glam services ranging from natural glams to dramatic glams. I use a mixture of drug store and high end makeup your application is about technique not always the products you use! I am most proud that I have made it to a point in my career where I am being seen at a higher level than just a makeup artist but also an instructor which shows a level of trust. What I would like after each appointment with any potential or returning clients to know about my brand is I am coming to give the highest level quality of customer service and a luxury experience! I want you to know that you are always welcomed and I am here for you and to service you!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
There was time when I was pregnant with my son and I had the least amount of energy I just wasn’t up for really standing and doing makeup but because my clients loved me so much and I just refused to give up on them. I continued doing makeup up until I was 40 weeks pregnant! I definitely paid for it in the end but it was so worth it to feel so loved and the amount of anticipation for my return was everything!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I posted myself a lot in the beginning so my audience could see my face! They love to get to know you and who they are viewing. Once I started taking clients I started posting more content with my clients which brought more engagement! U have to know what’s type of audience you have and who you are catering to and whats their needs.
