We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Elizabeth Parker a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Learning what I do has been a journey of curiosity and a deep love for creativity. I started by immersing myself in various forms of art—photography, film, and digital design. It wasn’t a straight path; I picked up skills through a combination of formal education, hands-on experimentation, and collaborating with talented artists and visionaries. Every project was a learning experience, with each success and failure teaching me something new.
If I could speed up the process, I would have embraced failure earlier. There’s so much value in diving in headfirst, not worrying about perfection. Sometimes, we get caught up in planning and hesitation, but real growth happens when you’re in the thick of it, making mistakes and learning in real time. I would have also sought more mentors and surrounded myself with people whose work inspired me—learning from those further along the journey could have accelerated my own growth.
The most essential skills? Adaptability and vision. Being able to blend technical expertise with a clear creative direction is vital. Photography and film may have technical components, but it’s the vision—the ability to tell a compelling story—that ties everything together. Digital manipulation tools like Photoshop and Cinema 4D have been game-changers, allowing me to merge the real and surreal in a way that feels like a natural extension of my imagination.
As for obstacles, time was a big one. When you’re juggling multiple projects, it’s hard to carve out time for learning and refining new techniques. And then there’s the fear of not being “good enough”—that can be paralyzing. But once you push through that mental block and trust the process, you realize the only thing standing in the way of learning more is yourself.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I specialize in something truly unique: we put clients into their own visions, turning them into art. My journey into this craft began with a love for storytelling through photography, film, and digital illustrations, always with the goal of transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
What we do is more than just creative work—it’s about capturing the essence of each client’s vision and making it come alive in a way that feels magical. Whether it’s a high-fashion shoot that blurs the line between reality and fantasy or a conceptual project where the client becomes the focal point of their own narrative, our studio is focused on creating deeply personal, bespoke works of art.
What sets us apart is that every project is about you. We don’t simply deliver beautiful images; we craft an experience where you are embedded in your own story. Our work is tailored, imaginative, and always unexpected, designed to stand out and leave a lasting impression.
What I’m most proud of is how we’ve been able to turn our clients’ visions into something tangible and unforgettable, always with a whimsical touch. When you collaborate with us, you’re not just getting a product—you’re becoming part of a creative journey, where the final result is a reflection of you, transformed into art.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to transform someone’s vision into something tangible, something that didn’t exist before. It’s about taking ideas that live in the mind—dreams, emotions, stories—and giving them a physical form that can evoke emotion, wonder, and connection. There’s a real magic in that process, in watching a concept evolve into something real and seeing how it touches people.
The moment when a client sees themselves in the work and feels like it truly reflects their essence—that’s what I live for. It’s not just about creating something visually beautiful; it’s about creating something that resonates on a deeper, more personal level. Knowing that we’ve captured not only their vision but also a piece of who they are is the most rewarding part of the journey.
Art has this incredible ability to make people feel seen, understood, and inspired. Being able to provide that for others, to turn their imagination into a work of art they can cherish, is what makes everything worth it.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Absolutely! Looking back, I wish I had known earlier about the power of collaboration and networking with other creatives. In the beginning, I spent a lot of time working independently, trying to perfect my craft on my own. But once I started connecting with other artists, photographers, and creative professionals, I realized how much you can learn just by sharing ideas and experiences. Finding a community that challenges and inspires you is invaluable, and I wish I had leaned into that earlier.
Another resource I wish I had embraced sooner was mastering advanced digital tools like Photoshop and Cinema 4D. These programs have become central to the way I create now, blending fantasy and reality to tell stories in a visually unique way. The earlier you dive into mastering the technical side of things, the sooner you can unlock new dimensions of creativity.
Lastly, I wish I had focused on business resources sooner—understanding the logistics of running a studio, pricing your work, and marketing yourself. Creative platforms, online courses, and even business mentorships would have been game-changers in terms of streamlining the process and growing my studio earlier in my career. Having both the creative and business sides balanced is essential for long-term success as an artist.
