Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Chris Morse. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Chris thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How do you think about vacations as a business owner? Do you take them and if so, how? If you don’t, why not?
I run a business that consists of assisting my clients with moving from one place to another. This includes introducing them the right Realtor or Realtors that will be best for their personal needs of when it comes down to buying and/or selling a home; where I utilize my background as a Realtor myself here. Also, since I’ve moved 30 times in my life; I’m definitely more than qualified to provide any moving-related advice that a client of mine might have for me. I’ve done moves where either I move to a different place in the same city or I have a long distance move; to where I move over 1,000 miles from where I’m living now. There are people out there that haven’t moved much or even; haven’t moved at all and moving can be overwhelming. I would go more into detail about this but I want to answer the question about taking a vacation; as the last part of what I do is spend an extensive amount of time researching different parts of the world; with a massive focus on the USA alone as the USA is where my business is based out of. People like to live where people do go on vacation and sometimes; it’s always better to see for yourself some of the “hot spots” of where it’s popular to move to! With this being said, do I really go on vacation? The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines vacation as “a period during which activity (as of a school) is stopped for a time” and “a period spent away from home or business in travel or amusement”. When I travel, I’m never taking a break from any business activity so; the first definition of a vacation doesn’t apply to me. Now, with the second definition, although I’m away from “home” (what’s really “home” anyway to me when I’ve moved so much anyway), I’m not away from business as the reason why I take some of these trips is to actually see for myself why so many people are moving to specific areas of the USA. For example, all of the times that I’ve visited the South Florida region (Miami and Fort Lauderdale). The South Florida real estate market was a hot market between the years of 2020-2023 and I’ve spent a lot of time down there during those years because this way; I have things that I’ve seen myself to bring up to my clients about what it’s like to live in a certain area. Other places that I’ve been of where the market has been hot includes Maine and other parts of New England; as the New England region’s housing market is really hot.

Chris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a Relocation Specialist, where I assist my clients with moving from one place to another. This includes some, but not all; of what I do:
-Introduce my clients to the right Realtor/Realtors, based on their needs/the local area of where a client of mine is looking to buy/sell a home. I can offer a similar service to moving companies as well
-Due to the fact that I’ve moved 30 times in my life, I’m well qualified to provide advice on moving from one place to another; whether it’s across town, across the country or to a different country
-Provide advice as to a general area of a country/region of a country/state/region of a state to where one of my clients should move to
-Assist customers with getting utilities set up such as internet, electricity, gas, water, etc
A lot of people either haven’t moved in awhile or haven’t moved at all! Not to mention that people might have done some “short distance moves” (less than 100 miles in the same state/province/territory/district of residence) but they’ve never moved far away; which leaves many feeling overwhelmed as moving is a massive change for people and change is very hard for people. I mean, you’re taking everything that you have and moving it to another place; just to unpack everything into a new home! Not to mention, all of the heavy lifting (unless if you have the budget to hire movers). Sometimes, people are moving to places that they’ve either never lived at before or even; have never been to before. Going to somewhere new can be a very scary and difficult thing but I’m here to act as a guide, with bringing in trusted professionals (Realtors, moving companies) to assist with someone’s next move and to take as many things off of the plate of obligations that a client of mine would have to do themselves before their next move!
I got into this industry because I decided to get my real estate license a few years ago and I wanted to find an aspect of real estate of where I can be a benefit to my clientele the most! This is how I came up with this Relocation Services idea of where I help out people move from one place to another as I’ve moved a lot, I’m a big fan of geography/travel so I know a lot about different areas of the country; with getting to know real estate professionals from all around the world!
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of getting new clients is to get to know them face-to-face. Take part in events and get out there to meet new people as the whole “buying leads” thing is one massive ripoff; in my opinion.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with clients by remaining very organized when I schedule meetings/appointments/follow up calls with clients or some of the trusted professionals in which I introduce my clientele too (such as Realtors or moving companies). I stay organized by using an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of when each follow up is due. After every chat that I have with clients, I always send them an email to recap our conversation and give them the opportunity to answer any questions that they might have that came up either by calling me, texting me or emailing me.
